That quote is from a b/w movie called The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, filmed in '48. I colorized it when I worked for American Film Technologies in San Diego.

That looks really slick. I know you used Plasti-Dip, but a few questions since I'm waiting to get my Taco in several months...

    1) Would a normal can of spray paint work? And would it make sense to enamel it?
    2) Does that part come off easy to paint it in an area to prevent over spray on the engine?
    3) Where'd you get the lettering from?

    Thx in advance.

Well I am not paint friendly so I used plasti-dip. That cover snaps off easily by just lifting from the front. Not home now but can send link to letters when I get home. I like plasti-dip because can be peeled off later if need to. Being a flimsy plastic cover enamel may crack.

I think it looks good. Was it pre-cut or did they stretch in on? I have been looking for a pre-cut piece like that for my hood.

The great thing about plastidip with this piece is if you mess up, you can always peel it back off and start again. @rrentrop makes the decals for the lettering. I went the route of plastidipping all of it and then peeled off the middle section. I would purchase a couple cans to make sure you have enough to your liking. You can always use the second can for the top of your fuse panel if you’d like and/or other pieces under the hood. It does look sharp!

Hard to tell with the Ranch Hand grill guard but added a mesh grill from Custom Car Grills.

    1. Transmission fluid check, F & R diff fluid and transfer case fluid - They got it right. Nice!
    2. U-joints took about 8 pumps each. Total of 2 zerk fittings found?
    3. U- bolts some were right on. Most not so much.

Holy hell is the OEM diff and transfer case oil pricey. Thank god I didn’t need any. Returned!

That must be for both 6k x 2. From researching these are supposed to be brighter than their last 9600 version. Will know more tonight. Either way happy with the color and the fans are extremely quiet. With the hood open I can only notice the passenger side because it is up enclosed in front of the washer fluid box. A productive weekend adding those and the Baja fogs. Now the outside is competitive with the interior me-so customs lights. Now if the snail mail would deliver my TRD decals for my Pro skid I can be done. At least for a few days.
