Anyone else have black streaks run down their door panels after the car has been sitting for a while? I normally wash my truck often but my work schedule has me away for 3 weeks at a time and I come back to these drip marks from the mirrors, door handles, and under the windows.

It’s a minor inconvenience at most and the marks wash right off. Just wondering if it stops over time.

It's just dirt/pollution in the air, washed down by the rain. Also dirt collects behind handles/mirrors and wash out by rain.

I think it has a lot to do with all the plastic, especially the black..... I'd try a vinyl protectant like Aerospace 303 on those parts on 1 side and see if it helps..!

If it washes right off, it's what na8rboy said. Dirt in the air washed by the rain.

I get that stuff too, also comes from under the bed rails to streak the bed sides, no big deal.

First new car. Had a 95 Lexus before this that I took to 180k. Got it around 100k and never saw any runs. Like I said, not something I’m too concerned about just wanted to know if it goes away over time.

I usually see it anywhere black rubber or plastic molding meet metal on most light colored vehicles after a few rains.

If you don't treat the rubber periodically it gets worse as it degrades with time. You might see that when you're waxing the truck and get the wax near the rubber.

Good to know. I’ll throw some UV protection on it.
