I'm wiring up a compressor in my 18' OR. While searching for an ignition hot for the switch I came across these unused connectors under the driver kick panel. The large one has a 15amp fused constant hot. Anyone know what these are for?IMG_9184.jpg IMG_9185.jpg

Kinda curious what that was for, must be pre-wired for an option not on the truck.

My guess would be the blue one is for a Brake Controller (I vaguely remember reading somewhere that it had 4 wires). The others (another guess would be) are for whatever you want to use them for!?! Maybe?

That does not appear to match the Brake Controller Plug unless it changed for the 2018s.

Looks like Aftermarket wiring that goes to a control module for a remote start or alarm.

Same here. I have had my head way under there when messing with the clutch spring.

I did find an unused, large-ish connector stowed behind a bundle directly to the left of the clutch pedal. There was a constant 12V power pin there that I used for USB charging.

It might have been the one that @shakerhood posted a pic of.

that looks like an aftermarket fuse, and those look like the plugs you would find on an aftermarket alarm. My guess it was a dealer/port optioned install for whatever reason decided to remove. The blue/green on the three pin harness, looks like lock/unlock that is normally used on a DEI alarm. Trace the hot (fused wire) and does it go into the engine bay or tap into something further up?

That is a harness for an aftermarket alarm. The yellow could be used as your ignition

I thought someone posted before that there is no reason why, from the factory, Toyota would use an in-line fuse. It goes against the standard of having fuse boxes and good automotive manufacturing processes.

@x2GENx, did you buy the truck new? Did the dealer or paperwork mention anything about an alarm?

Looks like the setup for an alarm. My dealer tried to sell me on an Alarm and ended up leaving some wiring in my vehicle that did nothing since I opted to not go for the alarm.

Yes I got the truck new with 11 miles. After tracing it up further, I think it is a dealer installed alarm/kill switch. They didn't say or offer any alarm to me, but I remember an employee saying something about every car has an electronic Kill/Safety device so the vehicles can not be driven off the lot without a sales person.
Going to trace it all out and remove whatever isn't factory.
