I got a reason to get a steel, possibly a HC rear bumper. The bedside will need repaired even with a HC unfortunately.

 

I ordered xprite from Amazon. They say they are rock lights.They come two strings of 4 with a switch for around 19. I bought a better grade switch from an auto parts house with a round snap in base.

 

Oh boy.... this could be trouble. Almost seems too good to be true but could make for a reasonably cheap v8 swap.

The install was easy. Soldering was a whole different story. I had never soldered before and there wasn’t a button in the remote like the other threads in the forum. I took a guess and it worked. I made a longer wire so I could just grab the remote from behind the plastic to the left of the brake pedal if I ever need to change the battery.

I soldered the wire to the chip plate in the remote. It took some guess work, but it eventually worked.

Hey thanks. Those are 265/70’s on 17” 4Runner wheels. No spacers. Stock suspension.

I’m putting the TRD Pro suspension on tomorrow so it will look a little different in about 24 hours

 

I used Krylon spray paint and it is holding up fine.

 

Removed factory 12V outlet and installed a 12v dual USB outlet and voltmeter combo in it’s place. $12 ebay
Installed an in cab 110v AC outlet with dual USB ports on the rear of center console. $10 ebay

Added the 400w anytime mod while installing the 110v AC outlet.

I soldered the add an outlet wires to the pins of the existing 110v out lines rather than tapping or splicing. I used some 14 gauge trailer light wiring I had laying around.
Neutral - BROWN to BLUE
Live - YELLOW to WHITE
Ground - WHITE/BLACK to WHITE/BLACK grounding point.


Instead of cutting the PINK wire up under the parking brake I cut it closer to the grounding point and soldered it to the smaller of the two existing grounds. The other end is safe under some existing electrical tape.

Istead of cutting and capping the PURPLE wire I just removed the pin from the inverter plug and taped to the wiring harness out of harms way.

 

Added the @ragofabrication cb mount and ran the coax cable for the cab today. CB coming next week.

Nope. Just used a small flat head to remove the originals. Make a note of the orientation. Then careful not to pinch the cable.
