Really glad to have that done, has been hanging over my head for awhile now. Mine has 60k miles but have had the typical drone sound at 40mph since almost immediately after I put the lift on around about 25k. FYI, for those interested we may do this again soon if there are others that need to do it. Should be even faster since @JimboAnz is an expert now.

Was there any wear on your cv axle with the worn needle bearing?...I got my lift on yesterday and have a vibe already at 40-50 mph on the passenger side, may have to do this also now lol :bananadead:

Does it go away when you put it in 4wd?

To be honest I didn’t check the CV that carefully but from what I saw it’s fine. In the picture Jim posted you can see my needles were all ok, just the very edge of the lip was damaged.

Thats the test for the needle bearing. If vibe goes away in 4wd, then its needle bearing. If not, could be driveline angles

I'll have to try that tomorrow, I dont really notice the vibe unless I'm going faster, so it may just be angles

Anyone know of someone selling carpet or vinyl floor for a Tacoma access cab? Or know a junkyard that has Tacomas??
