Got my first fin from finatic in the mail. I didn't even think about it and went with a fcs 9" fin. Stupidly I don't have an fcs fin box. So sending it back and double checking my que. Fin looks nice tho. The packaging comes with a self addressed return envelope. Easy as dropping it in a box and waiting for the next one.

Im sure it wont go anywhere, but the center of the board should be between the two spots where it is tied down (orange straps in this case)... you dont want the whole back of the board hanging off rack.. that looks like it could snap if you hit a good bump.

That spot is a cove and this past fall we were super lucky it turned on and was offering up 300yd lefts, just dredging right off the beach. 10yr kinda thing I think. Haven’t seen it like that ever.

Thanks for the feedback I am new to the whole world of boards and roof racks. Lucky for me its a short ride to the water. I will be sure to try and center it up a little more also I was thinking about getting some of that soft 'nerf' type material to put in the front and back bars to absorb some of the bumps on the road.

That will do. No need for the nose strap if strapped down

That works fine - as others have said I would center the board more, and if you don't have them grab some rack pads --

    https://www.dakine.com/en-us/sport/surf/accessories/rack-pad/ --

The other advantage of shifting the board forward is you might be able to see it out of the top of your windshield... I always liked to have an eye on the board to make sure its not shifting around or anything.

need to learn more about this stuff
I would just throw them in the bed of the truck diagonally. This is why I got a LB. but I’ve never seen a board on the roof of a truck. It’s ok if it sticks out a foot or two out the back.

Little surf check this PM. Waves were minimal but got to use my tred traction boards driving through the dunes. We didn’t air down and the defender got hung up on a climb.
