You looking to put spacers in front? Your rake still about 1.5?

Going with .75" BORA spacers all around because I am putting 255/85-16s on and I'm looking for just a little additional UCA clearance. Rake seems to be holding firm at about 1.5". I'll check it again after I get the spacers/tires on and an alignment done.

I measured today to compare what I took a few days after and it's about the same. I've added 200 miles between the 2 checks and full tank of gas on both occasions as well.

I guess I’ll be that guy, I preferred the stock OR suspension for everyday on road driving. Although I do love the improved aesthetics.

Not saying I hate the ride of the Pro kit, but as much as I don’t miss the body roll and nose dive of the stock setup, I do miss the soft/plush ride.

I’ll run these for a while, but unless my disposition on the setup changes (and assuming I still have the truck when the time comes), I’ll likely be swapping out to some Kings of a Fox setup.

Bumper swap will fix that. It's stiffer due to the spring rate change. Stocks has 550# rating and these have 600# rating. Also, some people were ordering kits from ebay that were the Baja kit thinking they were the pros and those are way stiffer with 650# rating. You would get that plush ride again once you add appropriate constant weight.

Lucky you. Makes sooooo much easier.

I knocked my install out yesterday at a local mod day with some other members. We did everything at a members shop with a lift. Total install took about 5hrs (and plenty of BSing), front/rear and ECGS bushing replacement.

I was aware of the spring rates. And I knew it would be slightly more firm than stock. I did my homework before buying.

The digressive valving of the massive shock adds to the firm ride. That’s why I’ll end up going King/Fox, progressive valving.

My response was meant more to answer the numerous people asking for real world feedback.

I put on the SSO slimline bumper with the 600lb spring and it changed the ride...it was way to soft. It went back to nose diving and I fell the suspension was almost bottoming out on putholes etc. Switched to 650 spring and it was a perfect!

I will add that I have the 6112 but it almost the same so...just my 2 cents.

I ordered Demello's new Aluminum bumper that is about 10# heavier than slimline w/ a 50# winch. Hopefully that doesn't bottom it out, but honestly I don't feel the nose diving in my stocks right now. What brand of springs did you end up getting? If it starts bottoming out, when I get the bumper, I will swap over.

Hey BC...before I bought these I was going to go with Bil5100 and crank to level...from what you have read and this kit would you choose these over the Bil5100/

Yes I would still buy these over 5100s, but that’s just me. For a budget/entry level pricing lift, this kit is about as good a value as can be had right now.

Thanks for the honest review! I would love the look and performance of this kit, but hate to sacrifice what I consider to be a decent ride (although mine is a 2014 with the OR suspension). Most of my travels are on roads and highways and I like the comfort of the stock shocks. How does your setup feel going over potholes and railroad crossings? Have you done any washboard roads?

You might be okay, take it for a ride and see how you like it, it probably wasn't bottoming out, I can just feel that the added weight was really pulling me down on some of the roads I've encountered.

I also lost .25" of lift if that bothers you at all. If your planning on adding more weight up front like sliders, battery, winch etc I would just make the switch...I bought 650lb Eibach springs for 190 and sold the 600lb springs for 100.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/bilstein-6112.421995/page-53#post-16991045

Heres a review on the 650 switch. I will also add that I just added mobtown offroad slider which is 140lb and it dropped the front a little less than a .25" which I'm okay with as it gives me more rake and makes the ride better imo. IMG_1916.jpg

Most of my driving these days is on road as well. Time will tell how long this kit stays on my truck. The ugly ass red coils don’t help.

Honestly I haven’t put enough miles to give you solid feedback regarding railcrossings, potholes, washboard, etc.

I’ve put about 50 miles on the truck since finishing up the install yesterday. Barely enough miles to say it’s a firmer ride and I’m not super stoked on that, but it looks great.
