All stock skids are flimsy garbage. Better than nothing, but not by much. Worse than nothing, if they give you the confidence to actually wheel - thinking your truck is protected.

Although, the new trd pro 3rd gens got some badass 1/4 skid plates. Bought time they finally added a good skid to the most expensive mid size truck out there today. Now coming with the new ones we got the damn snorkels (Desert Intake:rolleyes:), cant wait to see the tow ins of typical "Chads" that take their 45 thousand dollar truck into their pond outback and hydrolock it. BUT BRO IT HAS A SNORKELLLLL

Yeah I know that they aren’t great I just always see people posting about having a gas tank skid and another skid by there transmission and I wanted to make sure I’m not missing any when I purchased my truck. I currently only have the skid plate that is mounted on the very front end in front of the oil drain that hangs under the front bumper.

Which I believe is the ifs skid. I probably should invest in skids then since I already put a little dent in the cross bar member under neath and the oil pan.

Yes atleast get back to the transfer case with atleast 3/16 steel. My crossmember had bites taken out of it by rocks as well as my tranny pan getting mushed in a bit.

I was surprised actually, its such a small little push in that it took me working on my truck 5 times to realize it looked weird hahah. Transmission skid will be on this summer, havent even tapped the transfer case yet so
