    Can almost guarantee you’re either hitting the UCA or your hearing the shocks bottom out.

    5100s shouldn't overextend and go clank like OME shocks do. OMEs are made to be the limiting factor, and have an internal stopper. I don't believe 5100s are designed like that.

    I checked the droop today. About 2 inches. Not sure what was stopping it though, the shock or the uca ball joints. Either way, 2" isn't very much so that's what it is for sure. How do I figure out which it is?

    Oh and I checked and the sway bar is not making contact with the skid plate bracket.

    It's entirely possible your LCA bushings are seized and making the noise you're hearing. I think you should have more travel than that, even at that setting.

    Its certainly possible, but would that cause the hard thud? Also its only a 4yo truck and AZ aint too bad a cimate.

    The climate thing is a big factor. It's entirely possible you have just run out of travel in your shocks. That can't be good for them.

    I have 5100s with 885 coils - 2.5" of lift on my Access Cab. When I put the floor jack under my truck, there's A LOT of droop. It's got to be 5", but I've never measured the full travel. I need to look up actual specs.

    I thought so too, but when I measured first it was at about 22.5 hub to fender and on full droop it was only 24.5. Which makes sense since stock they only have 8 or 9 inches of travel. So if it sat halfway in between its travel at stock height and you take 2.5 of droop away from that, you only have about 2 inches left. If you get a chance to measure let me know.

    Billstein is showing just over 5.5" of total travel for these. That would mean you're out of travel.

    The shock has 5 inches of travel but since its set about halfway up the lca between the wheel and the pivot, you get more like 9 inches of total travel at the wheel.
