Just make sure you use stainless hardware or at least zinc coated or something. To prevent rust

I have the Lock Er Down. No issues as far as fit or function. Same quality as the Console Vault, I have both. Removed the Console Vault from my 2011 after it was totaled before they hauled it away.
One thing that I would recommend doing is to swap out the two hex head mounting screws that come with the unit for button head cap screws. Simple installation takes about 10 mins.

Got it covered  Thanks for giving me the idea. I’m all about those subtle changes that make a big difference.

I have the premium JBL but not really impressed by the minds and highs. Will the Subaru tweeters be an improvement over the tweeters on the premium JBL?

The Subaru tweeters will not fit the jbl, different connectors.

    Found out the hard way...

You can hide it up front as well if you want to save a spot for a second battery.

That's the twin compressor as well? What bracket did you use? I bought the Slee bracket for the back like the other guy but then wondered about the second battery then so I haven't installed it yet.

Keep us posted on how you like the Coopers. I used to run Cooper CS4s on my cars, and I loved those tires. I haven’t gotten past my initial set of tires on my last 4 cars (leases) so its been a while since I’ve gone tire shopping, but I’ve been thinking a bout what I’ll put on my Tacoma when the time comes. I know a lot of people have been going with the KO2s, but I’m also eyeballing these and the Ridge Grapplers.

I picked one up for $40. That’s the one I plan on playing with, and if I don’t like it or trade it in I can always throw the stock one back on the truck. Although I bought that one before they cheap Pro’s started pouring out of China. One day I’ll upgrade away from the Cheese Grater, but $40 to get rid of the chrome is well worth it.

It is the twin. It is the second gen slee bracket, along with a little custom piece that lets it sit in there.

Yesss!! I’ve got the normal dog “hammock” style cover but it doesn’t do anything to protect my doors when the windows are down and the dogs run up for a better view! On my last outing I actually taped towels where the trim meets the window to try and protect the doors haha. Does this do alright to kinda hold dogs back? Or at least flex down a bit to protect the door itself? Thanks for posting it!

Link for screws?! Now I’m noticing how bad the silver sticks out on my fogs :spending:

I used the stock bracket that came with the radio. I taped it up in the cubby, put the radio in the bracket and used a pencil to mark the location. I removed the radio and pencil marked the hole locations. I heated a nail with a propane torch and melted the holes in the plastic for the screws. Screwed the bracket in place with sheet metal screws. Used a 1 inch hole saw in the back of the cubby for the coax cable. I got lucky and everything lined up perfectly neat and square. Done!
