I'm looking to lift my TRD 4x4 Sport 3" with a budget of 1600. I do light off-roading and mainly it's for road use. I'm just looking to get some feed back on anyone else's experiences.

Search used here. But I’d recommend the 5100 with some aal. Well below $1600

Bilstein 5100 with OME 886 coils and a wheelers/headstrong AAL. Save the rest for wheels and tires!

Edit: ^ this guy beat me to it.

Uhh... Maybe. But that's usually only if you add a heavy bumper on the front over time. You can always go with a spring with a higher spring rate.

Pretty sure I'm gonna do the same with 888's. Doubt I'll run any heavy armor at all that would require the 886 spring.

I just put on the eibach prokit from toytec, it’s $450 but it’s only a 2”. The struts come assembled and I was a able to fit 285 75 16 under it with no rub

    coming soon

can confirm. I'm looking for a solution after a couple weeks with the medium duty kit on my OR AC.

Trying to find an answer if (gasp) spacers are even an option with this set up and if so which way to go

I’m in the same boat now. Looking for about 2.5” of lift for my 17 DCLB. I have a cap and I’m pulling a travel trailer. I’m assuming Dakar’s are the way to go in the rear? Was leaning towards OME or bilstien. Gonna call Marie at HS real soon!!!

The heavies are great if you plan on hauling/towing a ton. if not, the medium duty ones are perfect.

Yeah truck actually sits pretty level with the cap on stock suspension and don’t sag very much with weight distribution hitch when campers connected. I’m assuming mediums Dakar’s are stiffer than factory.

I'm running the Toytec Boss with 700# springs up front. Front is great with skids under and sliders, but the AAL in the rear leaves a lot to be desired. Had a hilift, bedrack, and RTT and my bumpstops hit daily on crappy Houston roads. Pulled the RTT off and it's a bit better, but still, seems the AAL is purely for looks. Getting the EL096Rs from Headstrong and if you get the heavy, you can pull the 3rd leaf and voila, you have medium duty! Going to run the HD first with a bedrack and hi-lift in the back to see how it rides.

OP, if you're just going for looks and no weight, the Boss has treated me well, but I have seen some bad press. Do some research on it.
