Drop bracket lift and booger welds
I would poke it with a screwdriver yourself as well. Sometimes they aren't thorough with tests.

I have. I cut them off so I could get them welded back onto the new frame. I also had a custom built front crossmember that I cut off.

They are pretty fun to drive, especially the turbo diesels.

Well, in an attempt to get my speedometer and odometer to stop lying to me, I replaced my speedo gear. They still lie of course, but not quite as much. Was a fun, easy project, Plus, now I have a PINK gear for the ladies @mrs.turbodb.

Doubt I'd trade the taco for it since j already have a land cruiser but I'd certainly want one anyway.

It would probably take a while for them to melt the ice especially while driving. I just scraped off all the ice so I could see where I'm going.

yes that much sums it up..we actually cut holes thru the cap and welded pipe to the existing roll cage to stick out. a bracket was made to slide over these "posts" in for removal purposes for other items in case i wanted to switch out or just easy removal. Only problem i ran into was that posts didn't stick out high enough for easy clearance to bolt the bracket and posts together. But pleased when all said and done. I just used black silicone as the post and cutout was relatively tight fit plus the overhang of the rtt itself helps from water pooling around these areas. When i get a chance i will get some pics of the posts and bracket

That gives me an ache down in the empty LandCruiser-hole in my soul.
But I think those are running in the neighborhood of $85,000AUS.....so.... I'll be keeping the 1st gen!

Nuthin crazy exciting here, but I finally got around to replacing my cup-holder tab thingys.
Big thanks to whomever it was posted the template file for these . Made it about a 30 min job to cut some tabs out of leftover rubber, and slot them right in .
