I still have my list of stuff that I need to do. May attempt to get the rear flares off the truck this week before going to Gilmer... but not sure if I will have time or not.

I just would like one good weekend that I can spend just working on the truck and getting projects completed.

Mine took a couple of weeks to get here if I remember right.

I'll be at HF the weekend of the 17th, DFW for the weekend of the 24th, and after that I'm clear to come up there and tackle the install with you if you still want some help.

Going to try my luck at Gilmer this weekend to see if I can win anything to either sell or keep for myself.

Hoping that I will have it by the end of March... as long as I have it in the truck in time for me to get some miles on it before Jambo... breakin for fronts are about the same right?

Maybe plan for April 7th to help with install?

 

From what I found out during my regear process... breaking in the front really isn't as critical as the rear. You'll be fine installing it in April and driving around all month and then wait till AFTER Jambo to replace the fluid.

The front isn't fully under load until you're in 4WD, so unless you plan on driving a bunch in 4WD before Jambo then it's not going to affect the gear set break-in wear. Whenever I did my diff swap I read some guys saying that they waited to change the front break-in fluid till after a few wheeling trips.

So sounds like Jambo may be the break in period... may do a couple days of 4wd around town to break it in a little bit...

As long as it is in my Jambo, then that is what matters.

If you wanted to... could plan a Pre-Jambo mod day with the Tyler guys to get this installed along with working on other stuff. Need to order the UCAs and also get those front brake lines installed as well since the front end will kinda be apart with wheels off and such.

Once I know a better idea on when it will get delivered, I will plan a mod day again for sure.
