I actually didn’t purchase them online. If you have a fastenal where you are located, that’s where I purchased them. But it does make a huge difference. I recommend this mod to anyone.

Why does your steering wheel squeak? Sounds like something else is going on because your steering wheel shouldn’t squeak at all.

 

Ive mentioned to my GF a couple times how nice it would be to get the same steering wheel thats in our Lexus ISF in the tacoma. Heated and real leather. feels soo good.

 

Its just where the plastic meets the horn where I have it circled. Another known issue on these things..

 

Hmm well that sucks. I’m glad mine doesn’t squeak. That would drive me mad crazy as well.

 

When you do a full turn on the wheel one handed on the heel of your hand thats where it really does it. Just have to take it apart for a quick fix.......

 

Ok, check this out, so my company just moved to downtown and we now park in a multi level garage. So I am leaving the garage, in the Lexus (2016) and I notice the steering wheel is squeaking. This goes on for couple weeks and then one day I was sitting still, not turning the wheel but leaning forward and I heard the same squeak. It's so faint. I leaned forward again, squeak! Holy crap, so I sit still and turn the wheel, no squeak! Apparently as I get to the end of the rows in the garage and lean forward to see if any cars are approaching from the the other rows the seat belt mechanism mounted up in the B pillar is what is squeaking. It just so happened to coincide to the wheel turning and that is where it sounded like it was coming from. I plan on either pulling all the seat belt I can out and spraying the gears or removing the plastic to do it. Yea I know it's under warranty but I am not wasting my time at the dealership for this.

Maybe check that?

 

Yep I hate squeaks and rattles. When I pulled the interior for sound deadening I tightened everything, changed damaged fasteners and secured any wires possible. So far so good.

 

No, definitely right here on the wheel. Just press the grey plastic with your thumb, bet it will do it. And it will ruin your life lol
