Charlie....you have to let that shit go. Having your ID checked is part of life. No reason to get so upset about it.

Sorry....but I just don't get it. It's an ID. Show it and move on with life.

Man you would hate the walmart here in Hawaii. They card you, obviously, but also anyone that you're there with. Super annoying. Especially when my cheap as friend "forgets" his wallet. Lol

The 2TR is an excellent engine.

Click the link in my bio for my build thread if you wanna see what i've been through with this engine!

How come your truck wasn't totaled after the frame was tweaked and the suspension got ripped off?

    Now that is really stupid...

How are parents supposed to buy beer when they have their kids with them?

Also, I live in Pennsylvania, where you can't buy alcohol in a Walmart (The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board sucks some serious donkey balls)!

I didn't say anything to insurance. I paid for it all cash. I do not plan on selling the truck so it doesn't matter to me if I have a different frame on it etc.

Then go forth and buy one, downside for you is geography though. All the nice ones are on the West Coast, and even then they're getting rare. This one came from its first owner in California, got lucky, he'd never evven engaged any of the lockers or low range haha

You know what I love? A lot of the most legendary cars from other countries are 25 years old and older now, making them legally antiques and thus exempt from emissions testing and safety inspections in this country!

I've got family in California. I'd fly out there, buy it, visit family, and drive it home!

Fun road trip vehicle for sure too, comfy and sturdy. Downside is you'd get 13MPG all the way back to Penn haha. For reference you want the 93-97 models of 80 series, the 89-92 don't have lockers, have the older engine and hydro controlled transmission, and were generally less creature comforty

True, basically the exact same vehicle but for 95-97 and you are minus one rear sliding window due to the goofy carphone antenna

TBH I rarely use my sliders. I removed my 3rd row seats and stored them in my closet so I have more trunk room but even then I still don't use them that much. I think I'd use them more if I had a dog.

I thought 91-92 was the same as 1993-newer?

The thing about swapping 80 series parts is it is expensive since they were the modern equivalent of $85-95K new they aren't the most plentiful Yota around and lots of parts have to be shipped in from Japan

Nope 93-94 have the nice style dash like mine, and the newer engine (1FZ-FE) and trans. 95-97 have the new engine and a different, smaller trans more closely related to the 4Runner trans, and an ugly dash board that was made to accommodate airbags

90-92 Have the old 3FE engine and hydro controlled A440 trans

Mine is a good year because I get the modern engine and the stronger of the two electronic controlled trans (they used to put the A442F trans that I have in Hino busses)
