I think they are the best option for those of us with a 2wd truck. Once I have the funds I plan on doing a spindle lift on mine, but I’ll be closer to 5.5/6 inches. There are a lot of different setups you can run, which makes the decision that much harder!

Yea I saw that too. The Maxtrac website sells a kit that comes with fox coil overs & all but for those of us trying to save money it’s a bit harder. Lol

I had an 04 on a fabtech spindle lift a few years back. Was fun & rode smooth on the road til I blew the shocks lol

Yeah I’m definitely trying to save money. I think my go to plan will be the maxtrac spindles, 5100 front shocks, extended 5100 rear shocks, dakar leaf pack, and a small block. This should get me level and to about a 5.5 inch lift. Eventually I’d like to do kings in the front/rear, but that’s a ton of money. If you have any questions feel free to message me, I’ve done a lot of research on these lifts!

7B5CBF10-DC50-430C-8615-54442FF15538.jpg This is what Chad recommended me to do. & it looks good & the price is right for me lol wheels & tires will be what I think about. Not sure if I should keep the stock sr5s & throw on 33s or get a different set

The only thing you may need that I don’t see is a small block for the rear, otherwise you might be nose high. I know I have 1.5 inches of rake stock, so with that setup I’d be 0.5 inches higher in the front.

A small block swap would be sweet, but if you’re putting in the effort you might as well try to stuff a big block in there.

I’m kind of old school like that admittedly. I like the no replacement for displacement times. Although my camaro does have a 383 in it that is a ton of fun so I see both sides of it.

That sounds like a sweet car, do you have any pictures? I hope to build a drag truck at some point with a 632 Chevy in it, but who knows if I’ll ever have that much money! :fingerscrossed:

Those are some sweet rides! I appreciate all the work put into them, there’s something about building them yourself that makes it worth that much more. Sounds like you need another race car!

I had my 67 camaro passed down to me from Dad and at that time it was a bone stock straight 6 with the little 10 bolt rear. I pulled everything out of it and completely redid the undercarriage with black undercoating. I sent every part I could to powder coating and had them done in semi-gloss black. Then I got a new 12 bolt rear together with posi traction and 3.73 gears. A custom th400 transmission built to take the power. And then of course a 383 stroker motor with edelbrock aluminum heads, Aluminium intake, and of course a healthy comp cam. Just barely getting close to it being ready to for the streets again!

I got very lucky to inherit it! I wouldn’t have been able to afford all of the parts if I had to pay for the body too. It only has 49,000 miles currently.

Dang any of those cars would be sweet to have. Maybe your dad will get tired of one of them and give it to you soon!
