Plus a 1st, 2nd, and a couple more prospects. Wow. Tampa was willing to deal apparently.

McDonagh and JT Miller. I think TB made out there.

Tough to say. I think we need to remember to that McDonagh is:

    A) Hurt for a least a week or two more.
    B) A stay at home shot blocker.
    C) A fringe number 1 guy, like most 1 guys now.

All that being said it's a good trade for both sides. A hockey trade. At the end of the day both teams get what they want. Tampa wanted a significant defensive upgrade and New York wanted a good bunch of youth. Plus Tampa is in win now territory, the Rangers are an example of a team that didn't get it done when they were in the same position Tampa is now a few years prior.

I will say Stevie Y definitely has a hard on for Rangers Captains when it comes to trades lol.

Yeah, it looks like the price was two roster players, two prospects, and two picks for McDonagh and some upside change.

Ya for sure. I'm just looking at adding him to that already pretty stacked D unit and that is a nice upgrade. And I think JT Miller is a guy that can thrive in Tampa. Dude can fly and when he is on, he is amazing. I think he just was in AV's doghouse lately, even when he was leading NYR in points. So that is also a nice upgrade too, IMO.

I'm surprised no one is talking about the Tatar trade. He's a heck of a player whose in a bit of a slump now. For what they paid, which is just draft picks, they did good for what they could get.

Same with the Vanek deal. Does anyone else feel like the Canucks got a bag of pucks for him compared to what Plekanec, Nash, and Statsny sold for?

1st 2nd 3rd for a player who has 28 pts is insane. Bozak has 32 pts this year and he's been shit

No real comparables there though in my opinion. Bozak is a good player who is right up against his potential. Tatar still has gas in the tank, he's a 30 goal scorer on a team like the Leafs.

Did you see that Plekanec had to shave his beard for tonight lol.

Ya, not a great move, in my opinion. Never was a big fan of Nash. He has hands here and there, otherwise not sure I'd ever want him...especially now.

Agreed. Like I said I think Boston is going for broke. They have some young pieces over producing while there core is just about to enter, or some have entered, the twilight of their careers. I think it was a panic move to try and grab a cup during that short overlap.

Statsny is solid addition. He should be versatile. The way this season has gone he could end up anywhere in the order. I hope he finds chemistry somewhere in the line-up.

Morrow I have no recollection of.

I would say Cheveldoff is earning his paycheck.

He's done a very good job collecting pieces. I'd say this year will be somewhat of a judgement year. The kids are coming into their prime and if they can play well in the post season the future is very bright.
