The other 3 corners with stock aluminum rims had no issues. Cleaned the mud out from behind the steel rim, put the tire back on, and was back down the road. Had to clean the stealie out once more before I hit camp and said "screw this" and called it a day. Walked out from camp a couple miles to another area for the evening hunt.

Now, that was a "perfect storm" for mud. Earlier in the day when it was more wet mud than clay - and the next day after things dried out a little - I had no issues a little speed or wheel spin wouldn't cure. But that day the mud locked up that rim so bad the truck just came to a stop and refused to go any further until I unpacked all the mud from behind the rim. Cleaning out that rim was such a tremendous pain in the ass, I'd not want to ever have to do it again.

Anybody else put steelies on their 3rd gen recently? I'm wanting 16" steelies powder coated white or gunmetal (or similar gray) to go on my Black DCSB OR...

Probably a lot more expensive but I would love to see a set of these on a 3rd gen (other than the quicksand on quicksand on Black Rhino's site.)

Why does the spare rim say for temporary use only? Its a full sized regular tire.

So the FJ 17” work on 3rd gen Tacoma?
Also, what kind of lugs will need to be swapped in for these spares?
