I found out that if you just put your headlights on the middle setting that controls the side marker, parking, tail, license plate, daytime running lights and instrument panel lights, then the halo (u-shaped light) will come on with the DRLs so no re-wiring was needed.

Well yea I know that, that's the "parking light" setting I think it's called. But then your running tail lights come on, and all the other lights you listed. I am not going to run all those other lights in the daytime and go through bulbs. No biggie though.

Yeah, you're right. I think @Roundarc has a pretty good solution. I may look into doing the re-wiring piece later on.

The fact the LED strip only works in parking light mode is a deal breaker for me :( It's a shame I really like these

No the condensation issue was because my headlight housings weren't properly sealed.

Getting the headlights off the first time is tricky but not too bad if you go slow. After that it's just alot of waiting around for stuff to dry. :D

They looked good once you got the condensation out... I’m waiting on my lights to come in now. Gonna throw a bead of silicone around them before I install them hopefully to avoid what you went through all together

I got the PIAA bulbs today, but am waiting for new lights. I’ll post pics when they’re installed, probably this weekend.

OMG!! My eyeballs just burned with all that light!! How much distance are you getting down the road/ are they similar to stock? Are you using the bulb that came with it or did you replace with something else? Got my credit card ready to go today....lol

It's the stock halogen bulbs that were provided.

It's tough to say for the light output as I haven't taken it offroad yet and my city is very well lit. I feel it improved the distance and width of the beam but that's just a gut feeling and self affirmation of my $300 headlight lol.

I'm thinking about throwing LED bulbs in there, even though they said not to ;)

Still on the hunt for some better bulbs. Anyone out something in there that's better than the stock H9? Also, has anyone tried putting the dust cover from the stock headlights on there? I'm wondering if they will fit on these because if they do I might put those on that way I don't have to cut the ones on there and see if I can get some HID's in there.

What if you buy that part at the dealership that way you can modify them the way you need and don't mess up your oem's?
