    Nice, very nice!

Remember when you could buy guns and ammo at Sears? Or pretty much any hardware store? And even through the mail, until I finally saved enough to do so and they outlawed it.

Couple of hardware stores in Wisconsin and Mn. still sell guns and ammo but not many. Get up close to the Shore of Lake Superior and Hardware, Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms could be the name of more than one store. I really like it there.

On a 16 ga. site this weekend someone asked how many 16 ga. guns do you really need. Thought well a good grouse gun doesn't make a good pheasant gun. Or duck gun. Then realized that the Ex used to ask me that all the time, that is a spousal question LOL. Answer is still the same- at least one more 16 ga. than I currently own. Always.

When I was a kid, there was a sporting goods and toy store in town that sold guns. They had a display cabinet near the front that I used to walk by to get to the toys.

I remember going to Woolworths when I was a kid and seeing surplus Mauser rifles packed like sardines in a 55 gallon drum.
15-20 bucks for one. Now to collectors, the right ones sell for thousands in todays market.
Wish I had a wayback machine.

Nice hammer gun! For those that hunt over pointy dogs

Hens?! Need to get you and the dogs out on some wild birds instead of planted pen raised ones. I have shot my share of hen phez. North of I-80 in Pa. though. Big trouble shooting a hen in the West.
