They are the same stoves that XOverland uses. The biggest difference is that they are hand made in the USA out of stainless steel and you could pretty well drive over them in your truck and it would still be fine. Heavy duty to the max! Plus really sensitive valves for the burners so you can actually simmer without burning your food, and rebuildable so after 4 generations of use, the burners can still be replaced easily. They are pricey though compared to CampChef or Coleman etc

I've definitely asked Prinsu about that before, but I think it was during the whole CBI transition, so they never responded. I might ask again, because that would probably bring the cost down, depending on how many I got made at a time.

I have "relatives" on that side, so it's easier for me to BS them. Plus one time when it was WAY TOO obvious (when I was bringing RTT) officer dropped passport in the water when it was raining, so he let me pass immediately after seeing how my face changed from smile to "I will make you suffer"

@tacoma16 got a roof rack from Core and it looked exactly like a Prinsu, very easy to fabricate.

Sometimes you get lucky like that! When I brought my suspension over (before we opened this store) the guy in front of me had left his gas cap off, and it was bugging me so bad! Then the border guard closed it and I pulled up and said "Thanks so much!!! that guys cap was driving me crazy!" and he thought it was funny and let me through with my full BP-51 setup even after I declared it.

I thought about that too, but really want to avoid treading on toes... What Core did with those racks was pretty shady in my opinion, the rest of his "business" aside.

Being that much Hd I think they worth it then! My Outbound stove costs me 40$ lol I don't expect it to last as long as the SS one. If it does, then I am lucky as hell!

I got his prototype and it needed a lot of work to make it fit. Even still its not 100%. However I got it for just the cost in materials (supposedly). There was some weird stuff too like the wind deflector being held on by self tapping screws. Some of which missed the mark on the crossmember and what not. Did I mentioned they weren't stainless and the wind deflector used was 1/4 aluminum plate.....just a mess.

Super shady! He literally told me he got a prisnu from one of his customers and copied it. Now prisnu is owned by CBI so who knows what legal actions they would take if someone was copying their racks. Again the rest of his business aside....

Well it looked good in pictures and that's all that matters right? Hahahaha that's crazy hahaha

I didn't know they were owned BY CBI now, that's pretty cool I guess haha but legality wise, unless they have a patent on the design there's nothing they can do. But who knows haha now if someone was manufacturing them and telling people they were Prinsu racks, then that is a lawsuit waiting to happen. But if people knew what they were buying was not a Prinsu then that would not be as bad. The law is weird. Even if they made slight variations to it there's nothing that could be done.. I'm sure there is some sort of difference % it would have to meet but what ever. If i could buy a knock off for less then 1k why wouldn't I?

Other forum is organizing a Swisha loop run in May

Only 10 participant allowed and must need the following to be accepted in the group:
Member of the offroad association ($)
    Min 32" tires
    Sliders
    Skids (min oem)
    Tow hooks
No lights hanging lower than the bumper

    And other misc

I'm like... wtf? Imo everyone should be allowed to join, in their own risk and responsability. Of course not being stupid and going in a Honda accord but still... if I want to do the run the same day but on my own, can they really kick me out?

    What a bummer...

I felt like complaining... maybe because its winter and I complain a lot

I'm surprised they don't day they need a lift lol cuz 32" tires are practically stock. And sliders? Really? From my understanding it's not tight trails in trees and that's what sliders are mainly for so I don't get that one hahaha they can't stop u from riding the trail but they won't want u with their group for responsibility reasons I guess haha I probably wouldn't run the trail stock anyways and a max group of 10 makes sense for time management purposes. That's why we will be doing separate groups. I'm still not sure if I'm going to do it this year. Depends if I can get certain gear in time. I need a good cooler for one so shit lasts haha and other things

Group of 10 I agree! But they could propose 2 groups if there is enough people interested. Stock size tire on Tacoma is 30,5". Would you really be refuse because of 1.5"?

I guess the rest of the list is some kind of copy paste for each runs since I also don't see the needs of sliders, and use of skids can be debated for that trail. Even tho, if some want to do it without all that stuff it is their business no? If they want more members to join they should evaluate a little better each run to be able to take more stockish people so they get hook and then want to armor up. In my case, I wont buy 1000$ slider and 1000$ skids just to try once, what if I don't like it?(i will like it:rofl:) but still lol

Sorry for complaining in your thread:canada:

Plus I think most people who know Tacoma and r running with stock suspension r probably one tire size up from stock (265/70/17) not sure what that equals but what ever. I'm sure they have other trails that they go on that are stock friendly but maybe they r a little more serious and don't want any noobs but who knows lol

I can understand both sides to the argument. On one hand, it should be at everyone’s own discretion because we’re all adults here. On the other hand, you don’t want that one idiot in a stock truck, constantly getting stuck or breaking something and holding the group up. Maybe they should just reevaluate the list and dial it back a little bit. Like the lights? Who gives a shit! That’s not harming anyone except the owner of that truck. Same with the sliders.

I agree that no one want that dumb guy! They could take off some items from the list and ask for serious people. If I don't mind smashing my rockers, thats me. Of course I won't! and just find a bypass or backoff, but I understand that it is not everyone thinking like this and that guy with bald tires and no recovery points will be the first one to jump in the mud puddle or try to climb a rock and bust his oil pan... But still I find it sad that it can block an enthusiast who just want the opportunity to wheel with other enthusiast just because he don't have the time or money to mod his truck "enough" for the guide's taste... But anyways, they are planning a stock friendly trip next September and I would like to participate, then see how it is, then move on to the next step
