    Was going to meet up with a group doing a Saturday/Sunday ride starting with Shoemaker Ridge on Saturday. Now they're starting on Friday. I cant do that because of work. Since there hasnt been anyone commited to Saturday, I'm going to openingday @ Blue Holler instead. Anyone interested in that?

    Closer to home for me....

    Talked to my buddy that has taken his jeep in wildcat quite a bit, said we wouldn't have a problem getting the Tacoma through there. Said every now and then some spots going to the waterfall was a little tight, but other than that the park side is pretty much fine.

    Let me know when your heading down, I'll tag along. I use to go down to that area when chromer ridge was "open". Some good wheeling.

    Chromer ridge was some of the best wheeling ive ever done growing up. Other side of the highway and looks nothing like the same now but man it was awesome. Im hoping to get a trip up in April hopefully. Probably just a Sat/Sun one.

    During the '80's and '90's, we rode dirt bikes @ Cromers Ridge during the winter. It is mostly sandstone which didnt get real muddy. We'd park just off I 75 and ride back to Rockcastle River. Fun times

    I have many memories of Chromer, and some I still don't remember :rofl:. I watched a guy absolutely destroy a brand new 2003 Ram 2500 out there. Bashed the oil pan and oil went everywhere as he had the Cummins tacking about 5k. We all wanted to laugh but no one did... His parents were loaded and bought him the truck for his 16th birthday present. One new motor and some bodywork later and he was back ON THE ROAD. Truck never saw dirt again that I know of.
