After reading this thread, I just did lol! I literally had the Falken Wildpeaks in 265/75/16 in my cart for like a week and was going to buy them tonight, but I saw this thread and decided to look into it... Falken Wildpeaks 235/85/16 are now in my shopping cart =]

Due to the narrower width stock 3rd gens have successfully run 255 85r16s without rubbing. I would say as long as your alignment shop set your caster to the maximum positive setting the 255s should not rub. It's been well documented the 285s require the CMC.

Yeah I have used Rogers stuff, and followed his insite since the late 90's. Him and 4runner Rick were always ahead of the game.
Not a negative difference at all, its actually smother riding and better response than with the 30/10.5r16s OEMs that were on it.

DO IT! I only have 2 days expierence with them vs my 265 75r16 General x3s but I vote yes alone based off looks and ride!

I know the Toyo MTs will rub with my offset but I thinking if the Cooper ST MAXX don't I'd give it a try.

Just got an alignment but they only messed with toe even though it makes do sense. Going to ask for positive caster of 3 and most likely go for it. lol

Maybe the alignment shop will sell you a warranty or an unlimited alignment for 24 month deal so you can make them do it right :D I got the 24 month alignment deal and I'm pretty sure they are sick of seeing my truck lol. Between lift, 700lb springs, rebuilt shock and a few offroad fails I've gotten my money's worth :mudding:

I have a buddy clearing 35’s easy with a 4crawler body lift, cmc, and glass fenders. He’s the one who sold me on them!

haha. I bought a Firestone lifetime alignment so I'm just going to try a different shop. Hopefully 1 of these shops will get it right!

If I was straight axled again or mud boggin sure thing on 35s. Roger is a top notch dude, and always has been.

If i had 33s on some of the rimrock, wa trails I have been down, It would have rolled with 33s and a cush luxery suspension.

Just an interesting photo from the webz. 255 85s are tallest in the middle. 265 75s on the left and 285 75s on the right. Toyo MTs per the source.

This is the flatest grade switch back I had on one trail. Had to take a piss break. Tree's around here are almost 99.9% Plum to a level, so the camera cant lie.

Unmounted I preasume, I was shocked at width height pre mounting on mine as well.

Found my seasonal tire, a thing of pure enjoyment. Off highway that is.

Yeah I didn't find another angle of that photo so I assumed pre-mounted as well.

Do you have any pictures directly from the front & back? I would like to see what the stance looks like. TIA

I believe that @LadyRed is running the Toyo M/T's with the SCS wheels as well. Look at post #1 of this thread.

This thread is freaking awesome! I'm about to pull the trigger on some 235/85/16 to replace my stock 245/75/16. Problem is finding/deciding on a new 16x7 wheel... looking for something flat/matte black to swap out with the stock steel wheels.
