Lots of snow expected out west here, 8" maybe o/n, another couple since I shoveled before breakfast. Just now went out to knock snow off my dishes and cover with garbage bags. Cancelled on a campout down in the bay area for the weekend, going to be too much work dealing with snow.

The winter my dad passed away, we had around 5 to 6 feet of snow on the ground. I had to load my old Ford Courier with snow to haul away, was getting hard to throw up and over. Snow I had thrown off my mobile home roof was up to the eaves on the north side. Let all the new neighbors see what we used to get here.

Snow fall wasn't too bad, from this AM. Had a couple guys spend three hours total to clear our private road. I need to go out after breakfast to clear my paths again, threw hot water on my dish so I could get online, wind blew my garbage bag off yesterday, then it was snowing afterwards.

Noreaster still belting away here. We just had one of those 50mph wind gusts they were promising. Wild out there.

I am in Connecticut. Quite a bit of wind outside. Thank goodness it didn't snow. Just a lot of rain. On a nother note. My dealer just texted me my TRD Pro is on its way and in Garrett Indiana. Must be a transport hub for Toyota or just Motor Vehicles in general.

    Morning all:
Only about 1 1/2" of hard snow here and we lost power for about 10hr's yesterday, still a little wind this morning but not that bad.
I had the yard cleared of sticks and branches, looks like I'm going to be back at it again! :(
Waiting to see the report from Mark and Mike, seems like the brunt of the storm was East and North of here, stay safe!

Yep, no snow here either and wet were in the area predicted of 4-6 inches. Glad when the weather people get it wrong (which is quite frequently), especially when it's in our favor.

Amazingly our power did NOT go out! We almost always lose power during events like this. We're out on the edge of a grid -- the wire literally dead-ends just up the road from us -- and it's also a heavily wooded area. Plus I guess back in the day the utility would run poles straight through the woods instead of along the road, and we still have a few of those around here. Not long ago we there was a fire in the woods about 200 yards off the road, due to a power line coming down.

"And that's why, after 20 years, I finally got a generator."

We just ad high winds. My son counted 4 trees down in the neighborhood.
