I will be upgrading my 16" steelies to 17" alloys within the next month for my '09 4x4 sr5 tacoma. The tire sticker does not include a 17" option; will I have any issues finding a place to install my 17" rims and tires (265/70/17)? Are there any restrictions to placing a 17s on a tacoma that came with 16s?

I went from the 16" steels to 265/70/17 alloys...had no problems at all with install and they used the tpms without any issues also.

Does anyone know if the Outer Diameter is the same? If I go from 17" Sports to 16" Off Roads, will it affect the speedo?

if you get the same size tire their should be no size difference, also if there was it would be so minute it would not effect anything

Just did this myself (17" FJs). It's an overall difference of an inch in height. There is a differnce in the speedo, but not too bad. Use the calculator posted to see the changes.
