I'm only saying that your mention of karmic law in reference to him getting what he deserved also implicates you getting what you deserved. Karma is basically just a balance, and for you to get hit out of the blue would mean that you created and were deserving of that action.

I don't believe all that nonsense, just thought it was weird you'd mention it when you were a victim. In many Buddhist countries, you'd be partially at fault due to karma, even if you weren't behind the wheel when it happened.

Interesting when alcoholism can't be seen as a disease like autism even though the medical field sees it that way. Maybe we should start calling people that don't function normally scumbags as well when they yell and scream and disrupt the peace of 'normal' people? Should the person get his license back? Most likely not since it could be a major liability, but calling him a scumbag doesn't seem appropriate if someone wants to be scientific about substance addiction.

I am of course playing the devil's advocate; I am a special education teacher for a class of young men with autism. I don't approve of calling people with diseases names though. That means whatever mental disorder they have; that's not what I would teach my students especially when one would hope for understanding in their case.

That's definitely an interesting way of looking at it. I never really thought about that I suppose. I'm a big proponent of personal responsibility, but I don't think he should lose his license permanently. Maybe just take a hand or maim him in some other fashion to teach him a lesson.

I'm not sure that form of rehabilitation would have a lasting effect. Not really versed in scientific validity. I liked your view on karma though :)

Good to see he had to serve actual jail time. Out here in CA, they don't screw around either. But he would also lose his license, then have it restricted, have to go to AA, take driving classes, pay tens of thousands in fines and court cost, get his insurance jacked up, and have lots of point on his driving record.

    Her Yaris.

Won't hurt a thing. Good call on the high mileage formula though.

Yes...they contain conditioners that help to keep seals and gaskets hydrated. I'm running M1 HM in our Yaris with a 126k on the clock. Not sure what the previous owner used. But I figured it couldn't hurt.

My cousin had a 2006 Scion xA that she bought from the original owners in 2009, for just $6,500 (cash, obviously). The original Scions had the same engine as the Yaris, and let me tell you that car was a beast! It had fairly high miles on it when she bought it (like 75K-90K) and it had 160K when she sold it in September 2014.

My cousin doesn't know how to drive stick, so her Scion was auto, but that car was quite fun to drive. Even with just 103hp on tap, it never felt slow, even with the A/C on.

Well I've lived in Pennsylvania most of my life and I've been to DFW. I'd take Texas over Pennsylvania...

You never know what interesting vehicles you're gonna find in Doylestown Borough!

Here is a Dodge Stealth, the badge-engineered twin to the Mitsubishi 3000GT. Unfortunately, this one has a slushbox and is presumably a non-turbo...

On another note, I'm putting a subwoofer in my Tacoma! Could you please pm me the specs of your "skull-breaking stereo" again?
