    my point was that most of these guys think they need every bolt on piece of armor before they can go run fire roads. Reality is they just need a good spotter or learn how to take better lines. the harder trails you need that shit. hell even the easy trails some of you need it.

    IKWYM. 3hrs drive for me just to play for a day trip, especially when we have all this snow hitting around here closer all week. I might change my mind on where I'm going, I wouldn't hold it against you either for going somewhere closer.

    Just got back from Mojave road. It was crazy windy at night and cold as fak at night. Bring a sturdy tent, and wear as much sniffle gear as you can fit inside your sleeping bag, and a ton of firewood.
