You're whining because you don't get good gas mileage in a truck doing 80 mph?

    Is this for real:confused:

I've heard the best mpg for most vehicles is pretty close to 55. Never been patient enough to try it out.

I get 13-15 in town, driving reasonably.

Just got back from a 1500 mile trip. Averaged roughly 20mpg, dropped to 18 climbing in the sierras, got 21.5 coming back down out of the mountains. This is all with cruise set on 70.

    Slow down! :crapstorm:

    Wish I had your in-town mpg! :(

Don't go above 2,000 RPM. Go between 68 to 70 MPH. I know some HWY post 75 MPH, you don't have to do that unless some of us hurry. I have same issue with my old 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer. It does the same thing with my truck. I get used to it. It is NORMAL.

and with bigger tires/wheels you will actually be getting better mpg than what your ODO will say. I have a scangauge and on my trucks ODO it said I went 290 miles at last fill up, on my SC it said I had gone a little over 300. It's like a 6% difference.

Going 80 will drop your MPG's. Also, running 20's. On Highway are you using cruise?
