Lite weight! I’m 320 lbs and haven’t hurt my tailgate in a year of use.

I Use my Bed alot loading and unloading Samples for work, I walk all over my Tailgate when its down and jump onto it to take things off (I'm short 5'7) I'm constantly standing on it and such when loading from the dock from our warehouse. I am around 180lbs nothing bad to report, one of my idiot friends (200lbs) once jumped up and down a few times on my tailgate thinking he can back flip on to a pile of snow. No damage from that either, It does stick footprints like crazy though...

I like it, There when i need it and rolled up when i don't. Check the seals when installing it. I didn't do the silicone spread thing to fully close it off because I was lazy but after alot of downpours here in Mass It hasn't been wet inside the bed yet so I guess I'm ok. The mounting brackets inside the bed annoy me sometimes because of the few inches it robs on the top end of the bed but nothing to cry about.

Sucks to hear that yours came with missing pieces I ordered mine on Amazon with prime and got to me in 3 days, and i got 10 bucks in amazon points for using my card . I heard they will stand by their product so I hope all goes well for you. Good luck buddy hope I helped.:broccoli:

About to head to the warehouse now actually i'll take a few and pm you so we don't thread jack, and no i doubt it will, the metal bars across the middle and back might not clear your box since it looks like the box is right at the side of your bed.

Glad to see this post. I am buying 8 sheets of sheetrock and using the 57" 2x6 bed boards on my short bed I intend to block up some 6X6 timbers and other boards on my lowered tailgate to handle the length of the material. The total weight will be 349 lbs spread over three load bearing points. Sheetrock weighs 1.4 pounds per square ft on a 32 sq ft sheet multiplied by 8 sheets if I did the math correctly. If the 400 lb post above is accurate I could load 24 sheets but I won't......

If you're still paranoid you could some reinforcements. Things like KB Voodoo cap system could help a bit. They're sheet metal but could contribute structurally vs the factory plastic ones.

I drove the lawn mower and 4-wheeler up ramps and onto the tailgate of my 2nd Gen. (2008) Taco dozens of times and never had a problem. You should be fine

As long as you do not sit in the center. That is why the new tailgate was redesigned.
