Yeah, my stock speakers sounded a billion times better afterward. They are paper thin pieces of crap though, so I know an upgraded set of speakers would sound even better.

And back wall and under the rear seats helps a pretty good amount with road noise IMO.

But not when you remove the seat behind the driver and put in a platform for a fridge... or run bigger tires... or have a camper shell...

I thought about just replacing the speakers with a set of kickers, but I don't think it would help much without an amp to help really power them.

See that's what I need to know about right there. Looks like I gotta get an amp wired into the stock shit too.

yea, that is why I was thinking of getting an amp from Taco Tunes along with the wiring needed to plug and play into the stock system and then just getting my own speakers that I would want from Crutchfield or something and essentially building my own kit.

Ahhh yea, hopefully the pictures explain it, but doing the doors helps a lot with the stock speakers as well as road noise and such. I did all of my truck and it helped a pretty good bit until I go the bigger tires on the truck and they make some noise.

Do you think you'll fit a sub in there somewhere? Looking at options it doesn't appear like there are many except behind the rear seats.

Have you figured out what you're doing for wheel well liners yet? My buddy Brooks used ABS after fitting 35s and said that helped cut down a ton of road noise too.

I don't think I will just because of the baby. If I did, it would be a small 8" or 10". But since most go on the drivers side in the cubby and I don't have that now with having the fridge platform. Not sure where else it would go and I store too much on the passenger side.

As far as the wheel well stuff... what is this ABS stuff you speak of? I need to paint the wheel wells soon to get rid of the gray primer that is there and was wanting to coat them in something to help with road noise... so was thinking of doing that Rustoleum undercoating stuff.

ABS plastic... I think he picked it up at home depot or something, cut it to shape and used rivets or screws to attach it to the inner fender well.

One day when I have money again I will do new door speakers w/amp and a 10" sub w/amp, along with sound deadening every where I can. Still undecided about a new head unit and I'll figure out storage after.
