What do you mean "there's always something to do"? How can there be, when the closest BLM land is three hours away?

Not sure if the are much quicker but they are built hella tough!! Both ends screw out for adjustments and able to lock down. The bottom bolts are Allen head with nylon locks. Too are the stud with nylon locks. Most of the hardware is grade 8 and the bushing are poly. I paid like $125 for each set!

 

Yeah I have it extended and I pulled the breather off of it to make sure it was still good and I never installed it back after in before taking it to the shop and driving it today.

Hoping the shop I used for the u-joint can get me in tomorrow and have it replaced. My wallet already hurts from the u-joint junk and now I have to deal with this seal again. Spring can't come soon enough so I can start making money again.

 

Looking for a replacement steering rack. Replaced all the linkage, sway bar bushing and endlink, and struts. Still have a bit of play in the steering wheel. I don’t want to break the bank and I don’t want one from the junk yard. I’ve seen loads of them on eBay and through the internet. Anyone have a recommendation?

Try this before you pay for a new steering rack, it’s free and everyone says it helps get rid of the play in the steering.

Edit** Post #42 shows an easier way to tear it all apart.

 

Reiterating what others have already said, check for play in the slip joint. It's easy to test, just reach up under dash and grab steering column, and try to move the steering wheel (obviously, with it unlocked). Even a small amount of play is worth fixing. Absolutely the best mod that I have done to my truck, and it's inexpensive!!!!

Actually, it's getting there. We are starting a new product line next month. The framer has a computer aided system that cuts and marks the plates, cuts the studs, drills all the electrical and plumbing holes in the studs, then a guy throws all the lumber for the wall on a jig and the computer nails everything together. All the walls, come to the job site pre fabbed, second floors come in pre-fabbed sections, trusses and roof sheeting come in pre fabbed sections... A 1400 sq ft house can be assembled (frame) by 4 guys and a small crane in 8-10 hours.

 

What springs and other parts are those? That's about the amount of lift I am looking for. I also have similar weight, with topper. What are you putting on the front?

It is supposed to be a 1.75"-2" lift but my old suspension was so tired it was closer to 4".
I suspect that once I get the front done, more weight will be over the rear axil and it will be lower.
I went with the heavy load rear leafs to account for shell, roof rack, camping gear, future RTT, and the boat I frequently tow.
I went with the 882 front coils as I am in the market for an ARB front bumper.

 

This gives me hope for the addition I'm trying to pull off.
