Anyone mapped any routes on Gaia? Its a great resource to map on the PC and sync to phone to run GPS while out. I'll try to work up a few and post them so they'll open up in Google Earth. I want to get the LC out very soon, ordered my roof rack towers and am going to fab some roof rails with either uni strut or steel tube stock and RTT will be ready to mount. Fingers crossed water will recede quickly and soon, but ain't holding my breath.

    Yeah.
I will check Gaia out, but I'm not a serious trail runner. Yet, anyway. I mostly just use a Garmin on my mountain bike, and I miss the paper map days. Getting too dependent on GPS.

As far as your fab effort -- don't rush, you have time . .

A lot of those trails are unpredictable and skinny and can do some pin striping, but they also offer the remoteness I enjoy. Totally agree with the GPS dependence, I have a Gazetteer and USFS maps but my eyes are not what they used to be. Fab will be relatively simple with bolt on, and since the clock seems to move faster now that into my 50's, figured I better take advantage of peak season before bugs and heat beat me to it. Winter has had me goin :goingcrazy:...

    Yeah.
I'm junior AARP qualified myself (apparently the REAL discounts don't kick in until 60+ or something), and cabin fever has just about done me in. My family is being patient with me in their own ways. Daughters, so that mostly involves just grumbling at them and giving them money occasionally.

I've ridden the Syllamo MTB trails even when they are prepped for the spring race, and if the 4WD trails are similar, I am sure there is plenty of pinstriping going on. They always say they have cut things back, but it must come back quick in the spring, I was pinstriping myself even after the racers went through (I just ride cleanup). The thought of doing that with this new truck doesn't thrill me, but I'm getting to that IDGAF stage of life (preceding the Get Off My Lawn stage, I believe). But I mostly just want to be out in the woods, there's some beautiful country here. I don't mind if someone is nearby as long as they are mellow and enjoying it. Remote is always safer, though.

Anyway, me and the dog need a camping trip. He's ready, truck is ready. Need to inventory camping gear, but think I have most of it collected.

I almost told one of the ladies to find who owned it and have them come outside. I was taking the report of the damage and theft done to the units on the roof.

You should have. Those ladies work for me and would have loved to tell me a police officer was looking for me.

Dang thieves...they were brave for sure!

I’m sure they would have! I’ll have to swing by another time and we can have a chat. Really liked your truck. What lift and tire setup are you running.

    Yeah. Hate thieves.

Do they have vendors at the Bonfire, or is that just a get together? Not sure I'll be available for a ride Saturday afternoon, but is very tempting.
