Looks great! I'm debating on ordering one myself. Are these paintable? Not sure how paint would hold up with constant touching while shifting. I am just trying to rid my truck of chrome/silver.

We have a member powder coating one, and highlighting with touch up paint. The paint should hold up if there is clear over it, but I think I might duracoat mine.

One problem for me is that I am colorblind, which is why I haven't done anything yet. I need help getting the correct shade of gray.

I'd like to see how they turn out powder coated and/or duracoated.

Knobs w/ SS ot Ti core instructions.

Below are two important posts I made about installation ... and a general explanation as to why I made the threads the way I did. You really don't need the lubricant right now (as I already put some on there), but it would provide good insurance to apply it maybe once per year. You could pick up a 1oz tube of permatex aluminum lubricant at autozone or walmart for a couple of dollars.

Also, here is a pretty good post that illustrates the shim installation..

    Shim size chart:

If you received a collar replacement from me, here is the installation instructions for that.

Here is the lubricant product on Amazon.

So I have driven around with the 316 SS 2lb version and I absolutely love it. shifting is so smooth due to the extra weight, slight bit of effort and the stick shift just glides thru the gates. Sooo glad I got the heavy one! hopefully for others, Rick will make more.

    Thanks again Rick!

Used some of my Metal Gloss- https://www.amazon.com/Master-Formula-Metal-Gloss-Sealer/dp/B00EHYOVKU - spent 10-15 min polishing and it damn near looks like a chrome finish. I'll try to get a pic of it tomorrow.

I'd really dig one of these with TRD PRO on the side and shift pattern on top. I really like the knurling too. How do they feel in hand for the guys that have purchased? These things look great OP

Edit: Would it be possible to knurl one all the way around with no breaks? Or is that not possible bc math?

    I gave @mtip 2 options:

    1. Wait for the next batch, because I can "knurl" continuously on the indexer operation prior to finishing the top of the sphere. They were all beyond this point at his time of ordering, though.

    2. Four separate zones w/gaps as you see them in his pics. I don't know the equation to figure out how to make the projected features line up better, and it would have taken me more time than I wanted to spend to figure that out (trial and error). So I just sent a few pics to him for approval.

It certainly looks like a trophy now. That really seems to make the engraving pop a little more, tempted to do this myself.
