    For what it's worth I just stopped at 4wp during my lunch break. 3 or 4 guys working the counter and no one acknowledged me standing there. Another guy walked in from the back, immediately helped me and offered to do a part swap with me if what I already had wasn't right for my application.

    From what I've read the biggest complaint is primarily their customer service, especially over the phone. Bad habit of not answering, so it seems.

    I think it's like any specialty shop... Most guys that work there don't have the patience for newbies and will blow you off. But if you're already experienced they're the coolest guys in the world.

    If I was reviewing them there, it would be 4 stars, simply because of the need to go back for the speedo recal; anything that requires me to drive in Austin traffic gets a deduction immediately. If you read my reviews on Yelp, the ratings are fairly spread across the board, there are some good folks out there, but also some real shysters. Anthony-Sylvan (pool builder) wanted to talk to me last week, after I dropped their rating to 2 stars. I told them I wasn't one of their customers that they could buy a good rating from...

    I put the lift on my old Tacoma, because I don't like paying people to do things I can do myself. When I started getting serious about getting a Tundra, ones that had a lift already installed was appealing, because I'm 7 years older, with other things I like to do. DSI/4WP gives a 3yr/36K warranty on their work, which matches the Toyota warranty, and the pricing was very right, so I pulled the trigger. Just be strong, but fair with your expectations, and don't get pushed around. Scott Domanick was the guy I worked with; I think he's the assistant manager.

    I went in there like 2 years ago to drop off a truck with a buddy of mine and we got the same kind of service in the shop. Took like 15 mins to get acknowledged at the counter, but labor turned out fine on his truck so no complaints there.

    Hoping they'll do everything right the first time and I'll come out unscathed...

    Like I said, Randall has been nothing but helpful so far. Hopefully the mechanics are as competent

    Being a sales manager, its really hard to sell to a salesman lol hoping for a good experience and will report back tomorrow for yall.

    Go in like this, you'll get their attention:

    You'll also be asked to drive your truck in/out the shop yourself. :eek:

    @Texoma
    Can you get me some pictures of the mounts on any rear high clearance bumpers you install in the future? Wanting to see what others are doing so I don’t infring on anyone’s designs with the plans I’m working on...

    @riz_atx
    How are you liking that new tune? Mine is alive now with the MT 1.03b 91 tune.

    Mounts up exactly the same as the factory tow hitch. Also some use the little factory wings and some bolt in to where the factory wings did. I can get you pics of my CBI, but don't have mounting pics of anyone elses.

    Wth lol, I hope that's a mild exaggeration!

    Anyways, it's your truck and I can't wait to see it done up.

    Just for the future know that @Texoma is my go to guy and has been taking good care of my truck for a few years now (along with many others around here)

    You could maybe even swing it by his place sometime after 4wp has done their thing and we can get a real life check up on the work.

    Anyways again, I'm sure this has all been said before but I wanted to reiterate :)

    Looks like the SA T&T is still live and well (but it's only 8-10am)

    Maybe we get together again for a joint force meet up. Would need to see if they feel like bailing on their own local event first.

    Are they using any kind of stand-offs to support the area that runs to the rear fender wells?

    Are the recovery points inline with the frame rail or offset? I am looking to make the recovery point part of the bumper mounts so that there is a direct load on the mount and frame not a side load like I have seen on some of the others I have come across.

    Any shots of yours would be great thanks man.

    Will bail quick, fast and in a hurry for mega meet.

    Even faster if there are dirt roads involved.
