I agree. Like my Hikari. What do you plan on using for high beams. Thought about trying auxbeam but not sure yet.

Trying to decide on that right now. I’m considering just getting another set of the hikaris

Have you considered swapping the highs and lows for a test run before buying. Might be worth a try before spending another $90.

I put my HIKARIs in tonight for high beams, wow! No need for a light bar which is exactly what I was hoping. Current HID/LED setup is perfect, and at some point swap out my fogs with the bajas. For now I’m satisfied with lighting.

And what HID setup are you running in the lows? Did you take, or could you take and post pics at night down the road with various operations, ie, lows only, lows & fogs only, lows & highs. I'd appreciate it.
    Thank you.

I did notice this morning though that I guess it’s the leds that make a glare on the headlight itself. It’s like 2 vertical lines parallel to each other in front of the projector.

As far as driving goes with them, I think they’re an excellent upgrade over stock.

I noticed the same 2 lines on mine but had similar lines with stock halogen bulbs.

Awesome, thanks for the pics...they look great!!

As for the fogs, I'm kinda on the fence. I'd rather keep it closer to OEM instead of 6K or yellow. As of now, I'm still sporting the OEM hologen fogs and I like the slight contrast and added fill that they provide. To me, it's a good compliment to the pure white (5k) of my LB's. Unfortunately, most LED's are 6K which really limits what I want to put into my fogs...

Thank you for taking the time to take and post up the pics! So that first photograph is the OEM Halogens? They are way brighter and whiter than mine if so. I wonder if since I run with my headlights on constantly if mine are already diminishing. I am going to have to take some night time shots and post them up in here.

That second pic though! BAM! I Like it!!!!!!!!!!

Yea, I am definitely doing all three ultimately. Lows, Highs and Fogs. I want the sunlight scene. :D

The first picture was the wrong before, I just realized it was when I was pulled a little farther forward. This is a better before and after comparison:

With the stock low beams I constantly felt like I had to turn my lights off and back on to make sure they were on, especially during the rain (Not that us San Diegans get much of that here ;p). It's raining today and tomorrow so I'm excited to see how much I actually get to see while driving home tonight.

As for fogs @ToyoDrew that's definitely something to consider. I just feel like when I look at the fogs with the new low beams, they look like wah wah wah lol.

@RobP62 what year is yours? I got my '17 in October of 2016... idk if that makes a difference?

Ok, disregard my comment about my headlights being weak, this is more like mine. It still looks brighter but that is because you are in the alley and the light is reflecting off the walls, etc. The beam pattern though of the new LED is nearly identical to the old halogens! Very nice!!!!

OK OK OK so now for the LED light test I did while in Durango Colorado for my ski trip.

We took my fiancé’s 2015 Toyota RAV4. Before we left she only had the LASFIT LC6 series in the low beam projectors and in the fog lamps. The highbeams were still the stock standard halogen bulbs. I brought with me a pair of LASFIT LC6 series for the Highbeams. On the drive there we arrived in Durango around 10 PM so we had plenty of dark road to drive on from Albuquerque to Durango. The LED lights from the projectors we’re pretty good on their own. In my opinion the low beam LED light was close to as bright as the highbeam halogen light output. It just didn’t shine as far obviously. Having the low beams and the fog lights on simultaneously made a great improvement in my vision for about 40 yards ahead as well as close vicinity and side vision.

Not knowing those roads at all, for me it was important to see what was up ahead especially with how dark it was and all the elk and deer running around out there. So after driving for a while with just the low beam and fog light LEDs. Switching on the highbeams initially almost appeared like the lights weren’t even on it took a minute for my eyes to adjust so that I could tell that the highbeams were actually on and do me any good.

Now with that set up here was the minor flaw. While driving with my highbeams on, when another vehicle was approaching I obviously would turn the highbeams off which would engage my lowbeam projectors and my fog lights. The car coming could obviously tell that I switch from high beams to low beams, but as the car got closer probably only 50 yards away I would occasionally still get flashed. I found this odd because it was apparent that I clearly didn’t have my highbeams on anymore so I decided to do a little test. I shut the fog lights off completely so that when I switch from high to low’s it was just low beams with no fogs. That fixed that little problem immediately.

The fog lights put out so much light, and it was very obvious to me that they did. Just driving with low beams on and then flipping on the fog lights made a huge difference. Yes the low beams still did fine and of course did the job, but the fog lights just lit up so much more of the road around me. Driving with just low beams out there just isn’t gonna cut it.

The next day I took out the highbeam standard halogen bulbs and put in the LEDs that I brought with me. I then drove down the mountain back to Durango a few days later and oh my god what a major difference it made having the highbeams with LED bulbs. I felt safer going around the turns in the mountains and being able to see farther ahead clearly. I only wish I could run the fog lights with the highbeams together. That would just be perfect.

With all LED’s, switching between high and low even with the fog lights on I seem to have gotten flashed less. However it still happened occasionally. So switching between the highs and lows with the fogs always off that solve the problem altogether.

I didn’t snap any photos because one, it wasn’t a Tacoma so I felt it wouldn’t do much good on this forum and two, we all know what the LED light output looks like already anyway. So this was just an experience post rather than a light output post.

If there are any questions feel free to hit me up is always! Later :thumbsup:
