Anyone know if this process is different for the 2018 with the Auto high beams?

 

Looks great OP. Love seeing DIY's..although not a fan of the "black eye" look. I'm OCD and like stuff symmetrically matching.
What Projectors did you retrofit?

Should not affect BHLM at all.

 

Wait.... Why are they not identical? Your diver side light blinker guard (plastic thing with lines to cover orange bulb) was painted black, and your passenger side was left clear plastic?
This can be seen in 9:50-10:00 min on the video. That's interesting..........

yea stupid expensive, in a few years and a few wrecked trucks.....

 

Considering the price tag on the Pro’s u could literally f up two or three sets of the stock headlights until u got a good set done. Way too expensive.

oh man. i'd love to do this. but NO WAY i trust myself with this. putting it in the oven? id burn it for sure. id have burnt taco lights for dinner.

I ordered some used side badges and painted them and they turned out awesome and I’m super OCD. I know I can tackle the paint, it’s just the baking part and getting them resealed well is what I’m sketched out about.

 

how did you remove lights without removing bumper?

 

Haha someone watched the video without volume , yesh I decided to go with the black eye mod. Something different is always nice.

 

I only pulled the sides of the bumper off, no need to remove the whole thing. Sorry that part wasn’t in the video

I defiantly love the look of it, but I'm terrified of the lights not sealing correctly and getting moisture inside the light. If I can run across a set of used lights that are not an arm and a leg I would love to try a retrofit along with painting.
