Used to see this stuff all the time out in Cali. Be driving down the road in San Francisco and all of a sudden your surrounded by 50+ dirt bikes and quads.... really obnoxious and annoying.

 

Apparently these dudes are all in their 20s/30s... I would expect like 16-18 year olds to be doing this, fucking losers. One of them got shot by a trooper.

Would suck if my brakes malfunctioned that day, or maybe a Prius accelerator gets stuck. Well suck for atleast one of the bikes or quads.

 

Honestly if they came near my vehicle and I had the kids I'd just run them over. Fuck em.

My dad tailgated the hell out a bunch of bikes on our way to fall River. They got in front, blocked traffic, and started doing wheelies. My dad was like you mess up you die lol the bikes were telling him to back off. So he got closer

 

Any of you guys upgrade or add a trans cooler? Planning on getting a larger more efficient one installed better our next trip but am the reading of threads has me confused. The three I'm currently looking at

I must be in the minority here but I feel like unless you have a bigger displacement V8, no aftermaket exhaust sounds great to me.

I like a good induction noise but noise for the sake of noise is kinda meh to me. I'd have to hear what the TRD intake sounds like for the Tacoma. The Bajas and Pros I've seen with the TRD exhaust sound kinda like GM 3.8s with rusty exhaust.

@Cativelense I know I've got a photo or two somewhere of my old truck lifted on my snow tires which are 265/70-16 to give you an idea of what you'll look like. Granted I was lifted a bit higher but it will put things in perspective.

 

I think the 4.0 sounds decent with the TRD exhaust

 

I've got the tru cool saved in my Amazon cart. Seems to be the go to for FJs. FJs didn't come with trans coolers which is just stupid. I was going to flush the trans and add a cooler once it gets warmer out.

I like the tru cool because it has a low temp bypass so it's not doing anything when the trans fluid is below a certain temp.

 

The rest of your parts should be in maybe this week. Start looking at the calendar and pick a mod day with drew. Every ones itching for a big mod party and to meet up. April and may are busy months for some that hunt and fish, also any one in college or parents with kids in college.

 

Thinking of the same thing for mine, not because I need it but so I can bypass the cooler on the radiator. Thoughts?
