What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

It will produce very small micro scratches on the surface it is used on. Not that big of a deal on a counter in your kitchen but it will dull the paint on your vehicle. You can just buff the scratches out pretty easily but that is an extra step that you will not need if what you are cleaning can be taken care of with something not as harsh.

 

If you think it is hard water then you could try something like CLR or Lime Away.

 

Made some custom T-nuts that are extra long so I dont have to mess with 8 individual t-nuts when installing and removing my ski rack. Plus with the rounded ends they dont catch on every bolt head and notch in the rail as I slide them down.

I'd need six threaded for whatever the generic Amazon ones are run at, I think they are tapped through for 3/8"-16 threads? I'll get the dimensions for center to center hole dimensions in a moment...

 

Well crap I have two rack systems that I interchange depending on trip needs and they are both different center hole spaced so I've got to stick with the pain in the ass individual ones...

 

Oh! I think we're getting confused. I wouldn't try it on my paint! I thought he was asking about stains on the plastic piece the mirror attaches / folds on. It all makes sense now haha.

 

Are they far enough apart that you could put both set of holes in?

No confusion here. I understood we were talking about plastic from the getgo. In the end the decision rests solely on you. You are the one that will live with the end result what ever that result may be. Personally I always tend to try least invasive measures first.
