2nd gen and 3rd gen drums and shoes are the same. Should be identical process.

Never done that job myself, couldn't give you any pointers. I paid $50 to have the work done down in SD.

gravity bleed will work fine, just keep an eye on the reservoir on top making sure the level doesn't get to low

I was digging around looking for old pictures of when I did White Mtn. years ago when my junk wasn't junk . I believe that I did White Mtn. with stock tires, stock skid plate and with no additional armor.

Couldn't find the pics I was looking for, but found these gems of some mad flex circa 2008

I have a pic when I turned it into a pretzel the second time while at calico. It was at that point I decided to cut it off.

Nice, yeah White Mountain isn't hard at all but there are some optional hill climbs along the way that are pretty gnarly...Suicide Hill is a good one, not sure what the hill at the very end of the trail is named but there's a bypass around it. Overall though it's pretty chill, but if there's a good amount of snow on the mountain this weekend it should make it more interesting for sure

Alright, time to take my driver's side door apart...stupid handle broke after Pilot Rock last weekend (3 weeks after I just replaced the passenger side handle). Good thing they didn't both go out at once or I'd have a perfectly good, undriveable truck lol.

Gotta take the fucking door apart though which is going to be fun...the passenger one last month took forever, you need the world's smallest hands to do it easily.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.

Anyone have a set of snow chains that will fit 285s that I can either buy or borrow for this weekend. I probably won’t use them, but you have to have them in the mountains. Stupid ass laws.

You have to have them with you. Not on the vehicle.

I’ve never seen them “inspect” for them but they do ask.

yeah you have to have chains with you up in Big Bear if it's snowing, even if you're 4wd. You don't have to have them on, but when they stop all the cars to check they will ask if you have them with you just in case. At least that's what happened to me last year when I was up there during the huge storm they had. I never had to put them on but I definitely needed 4x4 just to get around up there. Storm hit and it was like the apocalypse, vehicles stuck all over the place

If you had a car with summer tires and front wheel drive? Makes sense.

If you're in a 4WD vehicle with half decent off-road tires you probably don't need chains.

I also still think it's retarded to require them. Carry them if you'd like. But let me be my own idiot, thanks.

So I got my driver's side door handle installed last night in record timing, much easier than the passenger side was for some reason.....but then I snapped the retaining clip on the inner handle when putting it all back together. So now I can get into my truck again, but I can't get out of it haha. Ordered the new handle from Toyota, should be here tomorrow AM...luckily if I pull hard enough on the metal rod that connects to the inner handle I can make the door open from inside. Looks ghetto AF though
