I just put in the TRD CAI that is CARB approved but some folks say that it causes the engine to run too lean. To compensate I could buy the URD MAF calibrator and program in the proper mix. That is if I can figure out how to install and program it. Anyone know any good shops that they'd recommend for this type job? Also, I'm thinking about Doug Thorley short tubes. These are the ones that need to have the first cat welded onto them...Any recommendations on a shop to do that? (I'd prefer these even though folks like the long tubes better---just to stay in compliance out here in California) I live in the East Bay....Thx

If your not force injected(supercharged/turboed) the going lean will not effect your engine enough to hurt you. Also if you contact URD when you buy your MAF CAL, you can get them to install a wiring harness and tune it for you and then it is a 5 minute install.

Cool, thanks....I emailed with Brandon and he highly recommended the MAF calibrator or removing the new TRD CAI. I'm going to buy the Calibrator...Did you install your supercharger yourself?

Yea, I installed in in 2 days but cost me 20 bucks and 100 for the toyota reflash. It was fun the more I think about it, I learned a lot.

I'd like to install that one day...Don't know if I'm brave enough to tackle myself though...

Hell, I just found out from Gadget that they don't make a wiring harness for the 2010...Does this mean each wire has to be spliced in? If so, I'm definitely going to either wait to install it until after a harness is made (hopefully made) Or find a shop with someone that knows what they're doing...This said, still looking for suggestions in the Bay Area....Anyone with good recommendations?

Damn Curt... you're insane! hahaha... Don't know anyone for that kind of stuff. Try Turbo hoses in Livermore. Not sure if they do installs.

They had a Skyline GTR R34 on the rack last time I was in there.

You bought the wrong color if that's what you are going for! ;)
By the way the truck is looking good, I like the tint on the tails very subtle but a nice overall look.

Yes I will be there on Saturday. You going to head over? Maybe we can discuss making you an honorary member of the Speedway Blue club!?
