When I texted to ask for his paypal, he called me but I couldn’t answer and said I’d call back later. He told me “we need to talk” so I wasn’t sure if he was breaking up with me or what. I tried calling when I got home twice and no answer. Texted and PM’d to no avail, so not sure what’s going on. I even offered to send the money multiple times and he didn’t seem in a hurry.

Hey gang, I’m on the fence about some SOS sliders. Does anyway make the trip between Northern VA-ish and Laurens SC? I would love to save on shipping if possible. I figured someone might be going down at some point for some tax break gear.

Or maybe I should just go down and help someone else out :burnrubber:

Have you checked out mobtown offroad? Have arguably the strongest bolt on sliders on the market, and are just over the NOVA border, in greensboro, MD.

I have always recommended them to everyone, especially because they're local-ish to him.

I wasn't a fan of how many bolts on SOS sliders. I don't think they can hold up to Rausch or Green Ridge. If you plan on only using as a step, then maybe.

I agree with @EatSleepTacos @Mobtown Offroad sliders are way more beefier. And I have them myself.

I second that. My bolt on sliders are beefy and saved my truck many times.

Haha, love you too Lloyd. I'm finishing mocking up a set on @steele-taco truck along with a fuel tank skid and possibly a rear diff skid while I have it. Habe some down time between waiting on bumper parts to come in. Might as well make the time useful.

It won't rust. He has 14 gallons of red paint on the armor.

12 week max. Just hired another fabricator and his main focus are sliders and skids. So the goal is to get them to 4 weeks, but just not yet.

I agree that buying locally is a good thing, especially if price is a factor and shipping plays into that factor. I also totally get pushing a local vendors products but knocking another vendors product based solely on spectulation is bullshit. I’ve seen SOS sliders get put through stuff most guys on this site wouldn’t even think about attempting so saying they’d only be good as a step is wrong.

Sorry. I just wasn't impressed. Ask @113tac how the install was for Mobtown sliders, vs @boogie3478 for his. I think Boogie took 1 hour for both sides and that was at a snail pace.
