Yeah for me it's 3.5 hrs to the meet then another hour to the trailhead. That puts me at 9 hrs of highway drivetime in one day:bananadead:. I'm dumb enough to pretend like I'm still young enough to say fuck it and make the trip, but I want the wife to tag along and she WILL NOT have it. We'll see, if I can find somewhere near the meet spot to camp or "camp" (cheap hotel) then I may still go.

17 is a fun drive, it’s the people who don’t know how to drive that make it bad.

I’m headed to Tahoe with the family. There is supposed to be a shit ton of snow dropping at the end of this week. Not sure what I’ll get into up there.

I agree with what you saying. I ended up buying the gas tank skid anyways after my friend dented his gas tank on his Jeep and it started leaking later on. On the other hand, gas tanks are lot more exposed on Jeep than on Tacoma. After doing the benefit/cost analysis I decided to get one because they aren't too expensive and gives me peace of mind :notsure:

    Wrecked!
I agree its a good idea. But if it gets a dent you probably need to replace it as it will wear a hole in the plastic tank.
My only thoughts on this was to see how many people have really beat there's up.
And to prove that its not the most important
    Piece of armor.
All armor is a good idea but not all of it is needed.
