2018 Formula 1 Season Paddock

I just hate ESPN in general. Seems like its always shitty announcers and meh coverage. Thankfully that wont be the case with F1 though

 

ESPN tennis coverage is good. But then that's pretty much all I ever watch on ESPN so I can't comment much. I think they have a "30 for 30" or something like that which had high reviews a while ago.

 

I like their 30 for 30. I only watch mls (Sounders) and college football (UW) when they are showing the games. One of the announcers for MLS they have has publically made it known he doesnt like the Sounders so everytime he is announcing its just him talking bad about the team. Then for the college football they only put our games at that freaking stupid like 7pm start time slot. Then spend all game talking about how its the best thing for PAC-12 football blah blah blah even though EVERYONE in the PAC-12 hates it

 

The Halo doesn't bother me

After seeing it more and more its not bugging me anymore. Especially now that its been "blended" into the cars by the teams

The halo doesn't bother me from an "OMG I can't see the driver" standpoint. But it's fugly and upsets the lines of the car.

I bet that windscreen will help with some positive feedback on the cars now that it kills some of the outside noise and they can hear the Honda falling apart. Also not fighting the wind on you helmet is a plus.

 

Indy doesn't race in the rain

 

Rain on helmet visors or windshields. Does it really make a difference?

When I used to ride my bicycle in the rain I removed all protective lenses completely because I found it easier to see that way. Then I would tilt my head so the raindrops hit my eyebrows rather than my eyeballs. F1 drivers don't have that option.

The main issue that the Aeroscreen had in testing was distortion , fogging and glare with rain

 

You are correct . But how would that work if rain glare is an issue with the aeroscreen or shield ? Would they remove it from the car if its raining ?

The cars are so busy now that I find myself longing for the older, more simpler designs of old. Lost never to return. Even the new Formula E cars aren't this bad.
