Just got back from checking out the flooding in the area. Water standing where I've never seen it before. Run off from the hills is just now reaching the streams. Flash flood warnings until midnight. On a "brighter note" the sun is outfor the first time in 10 days...

OK...A week from today, we'll have an employee appreciation day. It will be held at an area bowling alley (that is also host to the Lebowski-Fest every year!) Besides free bowling, we'll have food and presentation of a few awards. (I'm getting a gold Rolex for 28+ years of service, rumor has it) We're starting a new tradition...An employee of the year award....To be named the Todd Wheeler Employee of the Year Award. It's named after the friend who passed away a year ago the day after the party. Without asking anyone, I contacted his wife, and his 2 sons. They will be there to present the award in it's first year. Laura (Todds wife) was thrilled to hear about it. I'll say this...It will be an emotional day. Todd would have won this award if he was still here. Only right it has his name on the plaque.

There are 4 people nominated to receive the award. All 4 have said they will donate their cash portion of the award to Laura in Todds memory. (She's still paying medical bills) He was that sort of person...Anyone who ever knew him thought the world of him.

The ultra cool Warn winch hook with integral bottle opener works like a charm....

But it's a motherfucker to use while driving.

Now to see how many Heiniken darks it will take to drink myself sober.

I'm thinking it may require many.
