Ive always thought so, but now ill actually get to try and see if its the thing for me. I don't think it will, and Im going to try and not let it. Im keeping it at 2 nights a week max, and britt has a really flexible job in the service industry as well (with weekends off) so she will for sure tell me when im working too much and we need to pump the brakes and go play haha!

But we do have some pretty big plans and if were going to make them all come to fruition, its going to be a few years of tight budgets and longer hours throwing money in a hole and not looking at it.

Do it. Its an amazing world out there. My wife and I are not planning on having kids, and we are soon going to begin exploring as well. My job is bringing me to Wyoming, and i am not retiring anytime soon, but I will definitely retire early. I have no plans to retire here in the US, its too expensive. So I am basically going to explore the world looking for retirement locations. There are so many expats in places like ecuador, thailand, costa rica etc. Great lifesytle, good healthcare and money goes so much further. 3k in costa rica a month and you live like a king.

For sure! Ive only juuuuuust scratched the surface, shes seen much much more. But i realized I don't have any intention to be wealthy or grind through a career ladder any time soon. I just don't care, and would rather set some good big goals and and go keep fulfilling my wildest fantasies. There is so much to see and do, and its easier than ever with this digitally connected world, to research and plan to go any where or do anything.

Yea @BossFoss Jen and I watched meru 2 nights ago. Super good !!

    Edit:

Hey @Digiratus I emailed you today about some of the books your company produces. Thought id post in here in case anyone else is interested in my question.

What is the difference between the Complete remote pilot, and the droners manual? If i read your website correctly the droners manual is just a condensed version?

I didn't see your email because I didn't go into work today. Been  for the past couple of days.

Just to be clear, you are asking the difference between this book:

    http://www.asa2fly.com/The-Complete-Remote-Pilot-P3857.aspx

    and this book:

    http://www.asa2fly.com/The-Droners-Manual-P3846.aspx#Description

I think it really depends on what your goal is. If you are wanting to learn and better understand the concepts behind the questions on the FAA exam, Bob Gardener and David Ison do a really great job of blending in the information you'll need to pass that exam in their Complete Remote Pilot book.

Have you taken any practice tests at Prepware Online?

The Droner's Manual is not focused so much on test preperation. Rather, it gets more into the building and flying aspects but does touch on the regulations.

Let me talk to a couple of people tomorrow to make sure I've got that all correct. For full disclosure, I have not read either book myself.

    Bummer, feel better man!

Yea I've been using the online prep from you guys. I'm not so much concerned with flight plan building since weve got that down with the company I work for. Mainly just a condensed reference for when I have questions come up that I can't remember the answer to in regards to regulations.

This is a bit of a rabbit hole you are beginning to go down.

By far the best source for the part 107 regulations is the FAR/AIM book. There is also a very good app available for both iOS or Android.

    FAR/AIM book: http://www.asa2fly.com/2018-FARAIM-P3778C551.aspx

    FAR/AIM app for iOS: http://www.asa2fly.com/FARAIM-iOS-P1951.aspx

    FAR/AIM app for Android: http://www.asa2fly.com/FARAIM-Android-P2208C573.aspx

Have you seen this book? This is one you might want to consider as well. This is a college level text book that covers much of the same ground.

Might as well just stick to the horse's mouth on this one with the actual FAA part 107 regs. I'll look at all of the uas books you guys have tonight and pick up whichever one's going to suit me best.

A mix of red canyon, hoar frosted trees, and the Oregon trail at South pass. I feel like the cuts matched the song well on this one

My goggle batteries started beeping when I was over the canyon so I raced back to the truck and they died on the way back down to the ground so BAM!

very nice! I still would refrain form the fades as much espeicially on parts where the music is more driven. Just cutting on the beat will work well there. Some of the fade ins works great though with the timing of the music and how the shot looked. Great work!

yeah i think so. Funny he bought a pro and then just upgraded the suspension anyways haha

Spark plugs worked. Fuses are all good. How do I check the fuel system effectively?

Awesome, great that Eric could come through! Now you'll have to decide between Igor and Lil Red to work. Guess the bumper will make that choice for you, with the deer and all...
