You probably know this already, but check the first gen thread or the buy/sell thread. They can probably help.

I use to work out all the time by myself when I lived in my apt. I had a free gym to use, plus I was single so much more motivation was there. Now that's not so much the case. I have always enjoyed work out buddies when ive had them due to me being a naturally competitive person, the competition drove me to stay motivated. I feel like I need that now. Also, I'm not a meat head, don't wanna be a meat head, and really cant stand the douchebag persona that I see with guys that work out. I'm the type that wants to get in decent shape and not do anything to affect my golf game.

I feel you on the partner/motivator. I relied on one during my heavy gym days, and it's made me dependent on having somebody around. Home gym with the girlfriend is a seemingly winning combination right now.

A good workout program that I used for a bit was an app called "stronglifts 5x5" which helps you build muscle assuming you eat right and drink all the protein, also good morning. Also rowing is a great cardio workout when combined with running if the gyms y'all go to have one

I will one day, not anytime soon. I really want to visit a MTB park sometime. Windrock has one of the nicest looking ones.

Missed that part, as long as he keeps the lift the same he should be good then. May have to do the pinch weld mod and BFH mod.

Fair points. I’ve worked out with people before, but what I’ve found is that I become an ego lifter when I’m with other people. I’ll sacrifice form for heavier weight because I don’t want to “lose.”

That’s good man, you put a good amount of miles on it? I ride the shit out of my bikes. I bought my first one (Kawasaki 750 Vulcan) when I was 18 and put 50k on it in 3 years.

I agree with this, when I was bodybuilding and powerlifting I liked being on my own.

Those are two pretty different disciplines. Did you do both at the same time?

Negative. Bodybuilded my junior and senior year of high school. But I’m naturally fat and strong, so that was hell to do the competition I did. So I switched to powerlifting after high school for a few years. Now I’m just a fat ass that’s modestly strong.
