    I hear ya, but it also only takes a couple of taps in the settings to turn if off when you take it in :)

    The longer we can keep this under the Corporate radar the less chance we will have that they will take measures against further developments on future models. Along with avoiding the chances of people having warranty issues. Is all I am trying to say.

    I’ve been told that the new D mode is like the stock ECT mode. So what’s the new ECT like? I can’t wait to load my tune. I’m just waiting on Mat to send back my code.

    Matt has realized that the fuel injectors and fuel pump can support running on E85. He will make a tune for E85 with a flex fuel sensor to adjust fuel tables based on ethanol content. Will also support MAP switching in case you are on fumes and need to pump unleaded petrol.

    I am guessing we will make 15-30 HP on E85 over 91 unleaded.

    Even better :D I have the "always on ECT mod" so I never shut it off. I did try it with it
    off the first day I loaded the tune and 1.03 felt great and w/ ECT it was just more icing on
    the cake.

    What got me the "holy fuk" :D response yesterday was doing about 40 and having to
    punch it to get around someone and on a dry straight road, the tires chirped!

    Tires are BFG KO2's 265/70/17.

    I flashed to 1.03 the night it was released and haven’t needed ECT! Everything feels so smooth on this revision. May try it a bit on the drive home from work here in a few but it’s been awesome without so I haven’t even thought of it

    Looking forward to hearing from anyone that's been running 91/93 on the new tune that
    has switched to 87 - would love to save some coin at the pump if the difference is not really noticeable.

    That’s awesome. I don’t have the ECT mod but it is always on and I have been driving in S mode similar to driving a stick. Start in S3 most of the time and then shift/downshift accordingly. The cool part is dropping down to S2 coming out of some turns and having power instead of boggin down. Can’t wait to try with 1.03

    I was the same w/ ECT, then meso came up with the mod to keep it on
    as soon as the truck starts and the install was super simple.

    You're going to love the new tune man. Now I'm curious as hell as to what
    Mat is hinting at as the next mod.

    Speaking of E85, I wished the Tacoma would accept E85 like some of the Tundras.
    I can do it if someone cares to find screen resolution.

    Yup! I used ECT once and havent touched it since after I left tire trails all over the Starbucks parking lot.

    I am on stock wheels and tires. No jolt on the 1.03 91 tune. Very happy with the throttle response, from 0 to 100%.

    How's it behave on a cold morning start? Mine flares up off idle without touching the pedal, just putting it in gear & turning the wheel on 1.03 87

    DakoTako: On a cold morning start, I definitely have an elevated idle for a while, before it lowers to it's more normal 750 rpm or so. Nothing that I would call a flare up.

    Most importantly (for me) is that finally, unlike since the first day I owned the truck (Nov, 2015), on cold days (40F or below), I no longer have the dreaded, annoying 'clunk' as I reach the first one or two complete stops. Apparently Mat fixed this by addressing the torque converter lock-up/de-lock-up in this newest tune (1.03 91).
