I was going to do the rear as well but hadn't considered the wheelers. Do you have a link to part you would recommend? I'm seeing that these are made for front and rear as well.

Here is mine with the 5100/884 combo and 5100/Wheeler's progressive AAL out back.

I agree with putting something in the rear if you weren't already planning to. You'll be high up front without it.
Here's what it looks like without the rear lift.

Get both front and rear. Just click the hyper link in my post, go to their website, and order them. They're great guys to deal with. They used to add shipping after checkout. Not sure if they do that still, but it could be a bit of a surprise if you weren't ready for it. They don't over charge on shipping, it was just a surprise to have a few dollars added to my first order. I've made several purchases from them over the years.

I like those Pics Aralit, thanks for sharing. I was going to do the rear as well. How much did the Progressive AAL raise the rear?

I'm pretty sure it was 2" with the factory overload and 1.5" if you remove the overload like the instructions say. I left mine in.

Yes, I need to leave the overload in for towing my boat. So you kept some factory rake it seems right?

Yes, with the overload it had the same rake as factory.

I think it's generally recommended not to run the overload with the 3-leaf progressive AAL because the lower two leafs in the AAL are much shorter than the overload. So, if you haul or tow enough to actually use the overload leaf as it's designed, it doesn't function properly and can allow the leaf pack to "frown."

I think a single leaf AAL fixes that problem. However, it gives a stiffer ride.

That said, I hauled over 1k lbs with my 3-leaf AAL/overload combo and never had an issue.

When the heck did these become the same price as timbrens? I thought they were significantly less. I like them though but wow, the cost.

The rear will be the issue for me. I don't want 2.75 inches from Dakars and I'm not sold on either Single AAL or progressive. I guess I'll roll the dice on one, most likely the progressive and see how I like it.

You could always run airbags with the progressive AAL/overload for some extra oomph when towing. Or you could remove one of the leafs from the Dakar pack to lower the height. Couple of different options.

Yeah that's a good point. Some shop around here was trying to convince me to block the rear to my desired height. That makes me a bit nervous.

What do you mean? Wheelers super bumps are $57 front and $125 rear. Timbrens are $215 front and $215 rear.

Yeah, don't use a block, especially if you're going to tow or haul anything. That would be much worse than a prog AAL with overload. Blocks are for full size bro-dozers, haha.

Maybe I'm looking at the wrong thing. I was looking at the rear flip kit too, which seems required to mount these. The wheelers pack doesn't include them so you have to buy the rear flip kit separate. So 210$ total for the rear. Am I missing something?

Ahhh, yep. If you wanted to do the flip too, then it’s about the same. Don’t really need to though, unless doing some serious wheeling

Ok so i'm not totally losing my mind. So you can install these without doing the flip?

You don't have to. It offers more clearance if you're wheeling hard. Personally, I'm gonna do the flip kit because it looks so much cleaner.
