I signed up and all the participating dealers within 400 miles of me all wanted MSRP. I would not have saved a single dime using the Costco program.

I used the Costco program and ordered a TRD OR 4x4 MT in Dec. It came in earlier than expected on Jan 20th and I paid 500 over invoice which was way better than anyplace else at the time.

It's heavily dependant on your location. Others have said a few hundred, whereas I went and haggled with about 5 dealerships... none came within $1,000 of costco. I got it for about $500 over invoice

I normally rave about Costco, as we have been using them for all sorts of services they offer outside of the warehouse itself (carpet, travel, etc.). But their auto buying program was terrible IMHO - they did not get back to me after a week and once they did their prices were higher than anyone with half a brain can negotiate on their own.

YMMV but I was not impressed.

Tacoma wa. toyota honored the costco program. They offered me $1461 off msrp on my trd off road double cab 4x4 with the premium and tech package. Boeing discount program offered $2000 off. Needless to say i ordered through burien toyota. It took around 7 weeks. Other costco dealers would not honor the program.

What "MSRP" did they quote you for that.

I was offered $1,500 off with the Costco deal, I said no thanks and got $2,200 off by going through the dealers internet sales department.

Exactly, I brought the "deal" in from Costco on a build and my sales rep basically laughed at it. Almost all dealerships will meet it or beat it.

Costco can be good for certain makes and models. There's just hardly any incentives or wiggle room concerning a Tacoma.

Costco for me only offered $2,400 off MSRP for a 2017 SR5 DCLB. Dealer in Eugene gave me $4k off MSRP for the same rig. Except it was for a 2018 and not 2017. That was in Dec 2017 when the 2018’s has just landed, too. You can do much better than Costco. I bet even more so now that the 18’s have been out a while.

I think I got about $1800 off msrp, a 2017 limited for $38k. Due to my situation, I had to use a dealer 7 hours away. All negotiations done on the phone & paperwork done by FedEx.

I initially went through Costco at one dealership, it was about 2500 off MSRP. Ended up going to a different dealership that took off more.

That being said, my old WRX was over 6000 off, about 1000 under invoice. It really depends on what, when and where.

I got two dealerships enrolled in the Costco program to give me quotes in writing. My favorite local dealer is not enrolled, but honored the Costco deal when I ordered my loaded DCLBOR on the day it became available, and exactly as I wanted, with no overpriced crap like mats or the lame factory bed cover and side steps.
You might be able to get a better price, but the whole point of the program is to get a FAIR price with absolutely no hassle or stress. Came in $2000 under sticker.

Oops, correction: $2500 off sticker and I believe $300 over invoice.
