I was going to wait a while before posting WRT the stutters again, but I have to report they are back. Idle learning cycle definitely helped, but it was temporary.
Surging while holding the throttle steady at some RPMs above idle is also back. There is no noticeable surge when actually at idle.

In any case, @OVTune said he's going to have another M/T dyno/dev day and I for one think it's needed. Not my money, but I'd get hold of a M/T dev truck if I were Mat

NOT TALKING ABOUT NERFING THE THROTTLE. CALM DOWN.

 

04b10 guys are such problems

I should be over 1000 miles on mine by the end of the week and I haven’t noticed any more issues with mine aside from I definitely still want different throttle maps. There might still be a little stutter at certain points but it’s hard to tell if it’s that or the road at this point. It’s not like it was before anyway.

In other news I think this last tank of gas is one of the best I’ve had in the truck, I’ll know for sure after I get gas later today. I’ve used about 3/4 tank and have 325 or so miles. Considering winter fuel still, it’ll be interesting to see what happens when we get real gas again

 

Yes. I want to say I started the discussion about the stutter. Haven’t been able to test the 20min idle. Will try it later this week.

 

After a few days commute on my truck I don’t think I am seeing any mileage gain/loss in normal driving. While towing I saw a small improvement.

Didn’t Matt post screenshots of an improved map for the Atkinson cycle a few days ago? Wonder if the MT and AT maps are the same for the Atkinson cycle or if there is an rpm range adjustment made for the different final drive ratios?

 

FIFY... there have been reports of stuttering/shuddering going back a long way in the development process. I will say though, that 1.03 04B10 didn't have this problem (on my truck).

 

I have 0B11 1.03B and have not experienced any stuttering at the 2-3k rpm range while shifting. I have even tried to hold rpm's slowerer in that ranhe to see if i can get those stutters with non reported.

The only stutters I get are below 1500k when in second gear at a rolling turn and I give it too much throttle but that I'm sure is more the cycles trying to switch.

I'm down to test a Otto only map.

 

I just had the same issue. Looking at the files that I downloaded with flash manager I see that the file size is 0 (zero) so it seems the file wasn't actually downloaded by the program. @OVTune can you look into this issue? I tried downloading the files on two different computers with the same result. I'll have to email you to request the files. Thanks.

 

I think he said there’s an issue with downloading the files for the manual in the current release of flash manager that’ll be fixed soon.

 

Matt had to email the file to me for the 91 tune. I was getting the same results as y’all on that one but the 87 tune downloaded fine.

Just have someone download the file(s) you need and email them to you. No need to bug Mat and wait for however long since he's super busy.

My buddy with an AT couldn't get his files so I just went in, got them, sent them over. Since the issue is with the current FM release, anyone with the initial version that was MT should still be good to go to help out since the files are built into the program itself from what I understand. Hell, I could help you out myself but you would have to wait until I'm home for the day and I'm willing to bet someone else in this thread will be available and willing before then

As for the issue with the program, he has said that he's aware and working on a fix

Update - 21.2 mpg over the last 335 miles. Primarily cruising at 65.

 

Anybody know if new flash file is out !? I am unable to download the new files files !!!!!downloads original no trouble ,, just can’t get 103b in 87 or 91

 

I couldn't download them either, but @mZiggy emailed me the files. What ECU do you have? If you have 04B12, PM me your email and I can pay it forward.

 

i went to reflash 1.03B, which is already correctly installed and functional, because i wanted to do the idle reset.

connected up, identified right, tried to flash and the .bin file is corrupt according to pcmflash. so i downloaded again after moving the original .bin file and same thing!

any ideas what's going on there?

i ended up clearing DTC's and doing the idle thing anyway. sure is running smooth, but still wondering about the file corruption.

 

Well, now I'm wondering if the files mZiggy sent me are even going to work. Unfortunately, I won't be able to try loading them until tomorrow morning, so I can't offer any insight at this time.
